He's In Love With You

When I get home, Matteo comes close to greet me smiling, but then he sees me

"What happened to u?" he asks concerned

"I'm fine. My assistant's ex punched me, no big deal..."

"The hell? U're taking punches for her now?" 

"Matteo, please...I thought he was dangerous, I got in the middle and I got punched. She treated me and now I'm fine, don't look too much into it!" I explain, going to the bedroom to change

"Did u punch him too?" he asks following me

"Nuh...she tackled him though and it was pretty funny! Can we eat now? I'm fucking starving!"

"Didn't u eat anything all day?"

"I did, but now I'm hungry again, is that also a problem?"

"Wow, where did that come from?" 

"I don't know, maybe because I've been up and running for 12 hours and I got punched 40 minutes ago and instead of comforting me, u're yelling at me!" I say and he sighs, rubbing his forehead before talking

"I'm sorry, u're right! I just don't like the fact that u got punched for your assistant..."

"I would get punched for any girl being harassed, Matteo, u know that! Ok, she wasn't really in danger, but from far away he seemed dangerous and I couldn't just drive away. Especially since she's a part of my life now. She practically knows me as well as u do..."

"Well, not as well as me per se..." he says smirking and I chuckle

"Touché! Anyway, I'm gonna take a shower, hoping I don't fall asleep standing, ok?" I say and after giving him a kiss, I go to the bathroom.

Penny's P.O.V.

When Carla comes, about 5 minutes after Carlos leaves, she finds me picking up the things I brought to treat Carlos.

"Hellooo!" she says chirpily

"Heyy! How was your day?"

"Good! Yours?

"Meh...I've had better ones!" I reply, throwing away the cotton ball I used

"What's that? Did u cut yourself with paper again?"

"Nope. But Carlos fell on Leo's fist!"

"What?" she asks confused and I explain what happened

"Awww he thought u were in danger!" 

"Yeah, I guess I know him, but he doesn't know me, so..."

"Aren't u impressed?"

"Impressed? Why?"

"He got punched and didn't say a word!"

"Probably because he didn't want me to feel sorry for him...u know, to act tough!"

"But he didn't punch Leo back..."

"Yeah, probably to play the bigger person!"

"Penny...no man that wants to impress a woman gets punched and doesn't throw some too!"

"Well, he doesn't want to impress me. Besides, he's so calm and such a gentleman, he would never throw a fit!"

"God, u're so blind...he's in love with u!"

"He isn't, trust me! He's just connected to me because of the sex and the intimacy we have because of the job..."

"How do u know he's not in love with u?"
