SAE STUMBLED AFTER a certain [h/c] girl into the Tokyo airport, his cheeks dusted red and mind in disarray after the heated moment they had shared—one that didn't last anywhere close to long enough.

The memory of her soft skin underneath his lips, the sound of her voice as she gasped out his name, and the way her fingers dug into his back and tugged at his hair with a kiss of intimacy haunted him and left him desperate for another taste.

It was driving him insane, and he loved it.

If she hadn't insisted on making it to the airport on time, he would've kept her occupied as they explored the limits of human depravity. But alas, Sae always listened to [y/n], and as long as he was by her side, he would be content with anything, even if that meant putting up with unwanted company got the rest of the day.

Tugging at the scarf [y/n] had given him to keep warm and bringing it closer, the midfielder sighed. Her ambrosial scent lingered on the knit material, enveloping his senses in a haze of euphoric bliss.

Although he would've much rather been inside [y/n]'s arms instead—after all, nothing could compare to the beautiful comfort that her embrace provided—it was still her scarf wrapped around his neck, and the sentiment alone made his chest bloom with a warm fuzziness.

Eventually, his sharp eyes settled on the girl's figure a few paces ahead, softening when he noticed the slight bounce to her step. It was almost bothersome just how lovable the detail was, and it made him all the more regretful that he wasn't able to keep her all to himself.

'If I stare long enough will she look back?' Sae mused, a small frown forming over his face when he realized she was too busy rummaging inside her tote bag to notice. 'Please look at me [y/n]...'

In fear of losing her amongst the growing crowd of travelers, the midfielder's strides quickened and he extended an arm to reach for her hand. However, the girl had coincidentally turned around right before he could do so, and meeting her clear [e/c] gaze was all it took for Sae to realize that he was no better than a lovestruck school girl.

The male found himself hopelessly consumed by a rush of innocent joy upon receiving her attention, his heart dancing in eager anticipation of her affections.

His emerald eyes followed her hands as they dipped into her bag to pull out a small box, widening as his mind raced with countless possibilities.

'Is she proposing? I wanted to propose first. She's so cute! I'm so stupid. If I knew she was ready for marriage I would've bought a ring-'

His heart pounded furiously at the thought of [y/n] in a wedding dress, walking down the aisle towards him—just him. They would be forever linked and tied to each other: on paper and in souls.

She could never leave him.

"Sae?" [y/n] interrupted his internal monologue, lightly poking his side to grab his attention. When the midfielder finally showed some hint of responsiveness, she opened the box to reveal two ear pieces laying inside.
