Eleanore turned in the sheets that morning smiling when Sweeney began to open his eyes as she moved closer. "Morning" she murmured before stealing a quick kiss. She snuggled in closer their naked bodies keeping the warmth between the sheets. They had made love again last night, upon getting to the bedroom they continued to make sweet love all night long. It had been magical, a dream like state to which Mrs Lovett felt well and truly satisfied.
As she rested her head against his bare chest she smiled peacefully feeling Sweeney gently stroke her hair. This is what she wanted, this is all she had ever dreamed, waking up like this with him. For years on end she had yearned for him when he was with his Lucy. A younger Mrs Lovett had watched sadly as he pampered to his wife loving and devoted as he always was towards her. Yet maybe it seemed those love stuck eyes may well and truly be looking at her now, loving her like he had as Benjamin barker.
Sighing contently she ran her hand softly up and down his chest.
"Ave ya heard from Johanna yet love?" She asked knowing it had been awhile since they last spoke of her.
"I haven't" she could hear the concern in his voice and so lifted her head to look at him. She knew he was worried, could see in his eyes he felt unsettled by the fact he had not received a letter yet. But Sweeney being Sweeney had hidden his concern well, not being one for emotion...
"She'll be alright love..." she assured him before she heard a knock at her bedroom door.
Toby! Her eyes widened.
"Yes love?" She called pulling the sheets higher above her chest worried Toby might walk in.
"Some man just came by the shop mum, He's left you a loaf of bread on the door step..."
Sweeney frowned at this and noticed the way his bakers mood changed suddenly.
"What's wrong?" He asked watching her get out of the bed and get dressed he could see she was upset about something. She didn't respond.
"Eleanore!" He raised his voice making her jump a little as she tied her corset. He didn't mean to snap it was almost as if he didn't know how to be gentle at times.
"It's e'm! Gerald" she huffed before heading straight out of the bedroom without another word. "Ello love" she shut the door quickly behind her so Toby didn't see who was sharing her bed.
Brushing past Toby she walked into the parlour. It was late morning now, they must have slept in. Opening the front door sat the loaf of bread Toby had been talking about.
"Bastard" she muttered picking up the loaf and slamming the door closed. Toby frowned wondering who this was she had called a 'bastard' under her breath.
Sweeney rushed into the parlour tucking his shirt in his trousers quickly which had Toby looking at his mum knowing he must have stayed the night with her. It was an uncomfortable image for him as Sweeney Todd was such a nasty man when it came to his mum, he didn't like the barber one bit "What the hell is going on" he demanded spotting the bread in her hands.
"Toby go to ya room" she instructed. She couldn't very well have her son here as she explained. Toby remained unmoving worried about his mums nervous state.
"Go!" Sweeney snapped at him when he didn't move right away. Mrs Lovett gave Toby an apologetic look for the way Sweeney yelled and watched as he did as he was told and left.
Running a hand through his dark hair he sighed and looked at her "what's this?" He hated the fact she looked so uncomfortable, something was clearly bothering her. The pair of them were looking at the brown loaf before she gulped and placed it down on a table nearby.
