chapter 8: A Secret Door

~呪術廻戦~

This field... I remember this field...

A soft expression had taken the lavender gazed Koki expression. Lips parted but barely breathing, she could not believe where they were.

Princess Sayuri, crying all over again. Burning her skin and staining her cheeks with tears...

Nothing had changed on these grounds and it was a wonder how such a thing would occur. A field that she never sees people go into still standing after over a decade of her knowing it's existence, she would have expected it to be bought by now. A field like this was insignificant and by now would be bought and turned into something more useful industrial wise.

But here the fields stood, wild grassed and filled with berries.

She was elated and nostalgic.

Sapphire eyes watched the crystal gaze that grew wide at the sight of the familiar land. Satoru could not help but smile silently as the Koki heir took in the plot he purchased years ago.

This was their secret place.

The handful of times he managed to get her out of the compound without the wrath of her clan eating him alive has only been in this very field. So as soon as he could, he signed his name and hired people to take care of the plot.

And if he knew the amount of wonder he would see dance in that little face, he would have done it a million times again.

"Not to be that guy, Gojo Sensei, but why are we here?"

Itadori scratched his head in confusion as he inspected the tall grass and flowers. Nobara was quick to agree beside him with arms crossed and a scowl.

"Yeah! I thought we came out here for a mission. Not to roll in daisies."

Fushiguro stood silently in the background with a tired expression. It amused Sayuri at the thought that a boy could look so exhausted with life his entire existence.

A loud huff before a sigh and eye roll left Gojo as he shoved his hands deeply in his pockets. His students lacked trust and enthusiasm. It was lame how much of a buzz kill they all were when he was simply trying to absorb the warmth in Sayuri that flared. Gojo stood straight suddenly with a finger pointed sharply at Itadori who still cocked his head to the side.

"Yuji! My student!" Gojo shouted and the salmon haired teen stood attentively in response.

"Yes sir, Gojo Sensei!" A salute on his forehead and his eyes wide.

Sayuri scoffed to cover a laugh at how ridiculous the interaction seemed. Gojo was so outwardly goofy and she wondered where the personality came from.

"Do you feel anything in this field? Anything peculiar?"

The teen hummed loudly with a thoughtful expression. He rubbed his face and pondered his teacher's words very obviously.

"I've got this tingling in my skull like I'm close to one of Sukuna's fingers. But I've felt like that all day so I was wondering if I was getting a head cold or something."

Idiot... A head cold? What are you? Dim?

Sayuri's palm clapped loudly against her face as she took in the conversation because she had also experienced the same sensation all day. When she put it all together, it explained why she felt off while meeting Gojo's students. Yuji Itadori was obviously the vessel she heard so much about.
