Kion and Rani: Darkness In Paradise

Chapter 18: Realization

Rani and Kion clashed together. They bit and clawed, ripping eachothers fur off.

Rani under kicked Kion. He flew back and landed on his shoulder. Kion growled and stood back up. Rani smirked.

Kion roared and slashed at her throat. Rani froze. She tried to breath, but couldn't. Rani's breath staggered, and she collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. Blood welled up around her.

"NO!" Ananda ran up to her daughter and layed beside her, blood went onto her fur. Ananda dug her nose into Rani's fur, "Please, I can't lose you too!"

Kion walked up to the dieing Rani, and her sad mom, "You've lost. The outlanders have won." Ananda looked up at him, "I don't care anymore. There's no point in living. I've lost my mate, my daughter is dieing, and Baliyo, h-he wants to leave. Kill me to," Ananda begged.

Kion was confused, "You want to die?" "You murdered my mate, my daughter is about to die because of you, and my whole pride is dead except them," She looked at Surak, Nirmala, and Baliyo, "Just get rid of me."

Kion smirked and stepped closer to her. Ananda lifted her head, exposing her neck. Kion brought his claws to her neck, but before he could cut her, Baliyo saved his mom, again.

Baliyo lunged at Kion. He pinned him down, "Don't touch my mother! I won't let you kill her!"

Kion growled and threw Baliyo off him.

Baliyo started crying, "Look at my mom! She wants to commit suicide because of you! You have ruined everything beautiful! You hate anything that had a ray of sunshine! You ruined my sisters life! And she died full of hate! If she ever died early, I wanted her to die happy and joyful!" Baliyo fell down crying.

Kion looked as Respu and Zama. Respu jerked his head to Baliyo and Ananda, signaling for him to kill them.

Kion turned his gaze to Rani, on the ground, surrounded by blood, not a breath came from her.

Kion's eyes went back to normal. He stared at Rani, "NO!" He ran to her, "WHAT HAVE I DONE!" Kion cried into Rani's fur.

Ananda was confused and backed away. Kion layed beside Rani, "I'm so sorry. I love you, I shouldn't have hurt you! Please come back!"

The wind ruffled through Rani's unconscious body.

"Fine, you won't kill them, then I will!" Respu roared and charged toward Nirmala. Nirmala threw him down, and Respu groaned. Nirmala held her claws to his neck.

Kion looked up, "No!" He ran to Nirmala and stood over his dad, "Don't kill him!" Nirmala growled and walked back to Surak.

Kion walked away from his dad. Respu stood up. Kion turned to where Rani's body lay. "Wait, where's Rani's body!" Kion asked through tears.

"I'm over here Kion," Kion turned around. Rani stood there, smiling. Kion burst into tears and ran to her. He grabbed her and pinned her down in a hug.

"R-Rani! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have broken your heart, or killed you!" Kion apologized, "Wait, how are you here! I thought you died!"

Kion got off her. Rani stood up. "I was forgiven," Rani explained. Kion wiped away his tears, "What?" "I wanted you dead, and tried to kill you. But you ended up killing me. The Great Kings Of The Past told me that I was forgiven," Rani said.

Kion looked down, "I know you won't forgive me for what I have done." Rani put her paw under his chin, and lifted up his head, "I do forgive you Kion, and I still love you."

Kion was shocked, "Y-You do?" Ananda roared, "Rani!" Rani turned to her mom, "You can't tell me how to live my life mom! I love Kion, and you can't change that!"

Ananda smiled slightly, "I just wanted to say, im happy for you," She turned to Kion, "And I forgive you as well. I just need to accept Sahasi is gone."

Kion and Rani smiled.

Zama was happy that her son had found someone who didn't care about where his pride was. Respu was fuming in anger, "You can't be in love with her!"

"I can dad, and I am," Kion replied. Respu didn't want to hurt his son, so he just walked back to the outlands.

Kion turned his gaze back to Rani, "I won't break your heart ever again." "You promise?" Rani asked. Kion kissed her, "I promise."
