As per ChaosDancer12 All hail me and my copy of the Master Doc for this story!

It was a relief to be home.

The comforting smells and feels and textures that were void of medical smells, and the soft embrace of his and Ser's bed that strongly smelled like his husband...

Stars darn it, he was glad to be home.

He hadn't been back in his own bed for four months, almost five.

Benedictus and Spe had been healthy enough to home with their Papa at two months old, but his poor Mira had been too weak, and fragile, and so close to dying too many times to do so. She was finally stable, but her body would be rather fragile untill she got older, when her elder God powers would have started to kick in, and improve her immune system.

Mira had been so bewildered to be taken out of the incubator for the final time, she had been used to being in there unless she was being fed, or when she went through various different medical tests. But all of them were home now, and now, he didn't have to depend on Ser to bring Ben and Spe to the hospital, to visit them on a daily basis.

It was frustrating though, he couldn't die, but apparently the changes wrought onto him by the Fates didn't stop his body from getting so ill.

Ill enough that his children had suffered.

He lay on the bed, tired, with Mira, asleep, against his chest, She was snuffling, cutely, in her sleep.

A soft smile appeared on his face as Ser slipped into the room, slipping into his nightclothes to join his mate in bed. He'd just put Solas to bed, the tiny Guardian had fallen asleep watching his baby siblings feed. Soon enough, Mira would join Spe and Ben in their cribs, but Shades had no urge to move her there, yet.

"How many stories did it take for him to stay in bed?" He asked curiously, as he knew that Solas had wanted to sleep in his parent's bed tonight. He would allow it tomorrow night, but not tonight, since he was still so exhausted from getting his daughter from the hospital.

He just needed some time with Ser, who hadn't been able to stay at the hospital often due to having to look after Life and Solas, and then, Ben and Spe.

"Ten of them." Searcher mumbled.

"Ten..." Shades snorted amused.

"I know..." Searcher yawned.

"I'm glad that we're home, I was starting to feel like Mira would only know the walls of the hospital." Shades softly replied to him, and he gently nuzzled Mira's skull.

"Me too." Searcher whispered, as Mira mewled in her sleep.

"It's getting late, so it's time to put Mira to bed. Just because the babies are born, doesn't mean that my illness is cured." Shades said, with a hum, the ecto breach had not helped the illness at all, but Doctor Sans had said that it should clear up in a few months.

Searcher nodded his head.

"Do you want to put her to bed Ser, you never got a chance to hold her while she was in the hospital." Shades offered, holding Mira up to his husband, carefully.

Searcher smiled, and he carefully took Mira into his arms.

"Mu..." Mira mewed.

"Hi baby girl." Searcher smiled, as he carefully adjusted his hold on Mira.

Mira made a purring, mewing sound in her sleep.

"You would swear that she's a cat, sometimes." Shades laughed.
