Chapter 4: Home Sweet Home

Ace's POV

It's been two weeks since Charleigh and Maverick moved in shit we paid my landlord and went to Walmart to get some Queen sized air mattress's for them. So far so good Maverick done turned my house into the party house I can't really complain cause he brought out some fine ass women and they all came to play. While getting dressed I hear a knock on my bedroom door.
"Yo!" I called out.
"Yo Brittany and her homegirl from last night wanna come over you must've put it on her friend last night Nigga she coming back for seconds." Maverick says sarcastically.
"Alright man I'm getting dressed I'll be out in a min." I said. That girl was fine yellow bone thick I don't even remember her name though. Before I could continue my thoughts my phone rings.
"Hello." I said.
"Hey son." My mom Tina says.
"Hey mama! What's up?" I said. My mom and I are pretty close my pops passed away last year so my mama and I definitely grew even closer after the tragedy.
"Just checking on you son haven't heard from you much lately you okay what's going on?" My mom says.
"You know Charleigh and Maverick moved in they been helping me with bills I been struggling since I lost my job." I said.
"You know I'll give you what I can son." My mama says sincerely.
"I know ma but I know money has been tight since the life insurance money ran out it wasn't much in the first place." I said.
"Yea I know moneys been tight guess that's what we get kept borrowing from our life insurance policies." My mother says.
"It's ok ma I figured out a solution." I said reassuring my mother.
"You know I don't know about this arrangement though Ace Maverick is definitely not the same kid we knew in high school he's been struggling mentally you can't trust that son." My mother says worriedly.
"I meant he did lose his mom ma no one is the same after that." I said.
" I know son but I don't think he's right in the head remember when he was arrested a year after yall graduated didn't he physically assault a man for nothing!" My mother said.
"No ma it wasn't for nothing the guy was speaking on his mother look ma I got this and it's just temporary." I said.
"I don't know baby." My mother says.
"Don't worry ma I got to go but I love you!" I said.
"I love you more son." My mother says.

Maverick's POV

"Yo sis you good?" I said calling my sister to just check in I haven't called in a few days.
"Yeah bro you good? I'm just chilling with Armon." Danielle says.
"Oh yo baby daddy been staying there?" I asked already knowing.
"Yea and I have court for that shit with Taz in a few weeks." Danielle says.
"Yeah I do too sis shit Charleigh got off I don't see why she don't have to go." I said honestly wanting to know.
Before Danielle could respond Kisha starts calling my other line.
"Imma hit you back sis love y'all." I said
"Love you more bro." Danielle says as I click over.
"What's up?" I asked cause what does this bitch want I haven't talked to her since I left her nasty ass apartment.
"Where you at Mav?" Kisha says shakily.
"Why bitch is my baby ok?" I asked cause he's the only thing I care about.
"This nigga just beat me in front of our kids come over Mav." Kisha cries.
"Is Zae okay?" I asked.
"Yeah he's just worried about his mama." Kisha cries.
"At least someone is bitch get off my line! You don't fuck with shrimps remember?" Before Kisha could respond to me I disconnected the call.
Fuck she thought she hoed me when I needed her look how the tables turn now that bitch need me.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Yo!" I said.
"You still want the weed from Ricky?" Charleigh asked.
"Come in." I said.

Charleighs POV

Entering Maverick's room I asked "You still want that weed?"
"He still gone give me the same deal?" Maverick asked.
"Yeah. He pulling up." I said.
"Charleigh finna get her nigga back I see you Charleigh." Maverick said sarcastically.
"He never left." I said leaving out maverick's room.
Truth is he does leave and then boom he's right back with an outrageous story and I guess it supposed to explain why he ghost me. I know he fucking with bitches and honestly I don't care he not my nigga and if I didn't need some money and some weed I definitely wouldn't allow him in my space. I guess this what mama means when she says use what I got.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

As I go open the door I see the same two hoes from last night. Except tonight they brought a third whore. She's alright not much of a looker brown skinned kinda fat and her skin is all bumpy.
"Hey girl the guys here?" One slut says as they enter the house. Before I could respond Maverick comes out the room and says "Ladies! Hey Ace bring yo yellow ass out here!" As much of a ladies man Maverick is you'd think he would try me I mean I know I look better than that bitch Brittany or whatever her name is he fuck with she ok she about 5'8 brown skinned with
hella tattoos and a deep ass voice you'd swear she was a man no titties ass little I guess she has pretty skin and her hair always done bitch probably bald head underneath.
"Ladies yall ready to get fucked up?" Ace says as he walks out of his room.
"Yeah the weed man on the way." Maverick says pouring shots of Hennessy. These niggas gone go back broke trying to impress these hoes.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I run to go get the door and it's Rickey's bitch ass.
I let Rickey in and he serves Maverick and he hands me the money Maverick gave him which was $100 and about a half ounce of weed before I could thank Rickey the third girl Brittany brought with the bad skin says "Rickey hey boo I didn't know you was the Weedman they was waiting for. I can just leave with you."

That's when all hell broke loose....
