Wednesday's thoughts:

Enid had gone off to her room not long ago. Wednesday waited about 10 minutes before leaving the kitchen. She wanted the werewolf girl to be in her presence, but she also needed to write.

Off she walked to her bedroom and once inside she sat at her desk. Thing had made himself comfy in his make shift "bed" on the desk already.

There was just one problem.

Her thoughts couldn't focus. Nothing she was writing was good enough to go in her novel.

Her thoughts began drifting off, far off into the depths of hidden memories. Memories that haunted Wednesday, because they proved she wasn't as heartless as she claimed.

~~memory~~

"Come on, Lurch, you want to dance, dont you?" A toddler sized Wednesday asked.

Lurch grunted in response, watching the short girl as the music began playing.

Wednesday has begun dancing, encouraging the taller man to join her. When he finally did, she broke into a huge smile.

~~memory end~~

Wednesday shook herself from the thoughts she slid into. She disliked remembering her younger self. Less full of woe and full of something she now despised.

It was true. Her family was cursed to care and love those around them. To love family in such a way that to most was unimaginable.

Wednesday, of course, denied this. Said she could never feel thar was to anyone. She only tolerated her family. And she hated her parents' display of affection to one another.

Now came her problem. Enid, she knew she had begun falling for Enid the moment she saw her shift. After all, Enid had saved her life. Not only that, but she also kicked a Hyde's butt. It was something astonishing to Wednesday. And she thought about it often.

The truth is she thought often if that night. Both in admiration and in utter fear. She'd never admit it, but she came so close to death, and it did not feel like she had hoped.

After that night, after that hug. She knew her life was shifting, and it was extremely uncomfortable. Coming to terms with the fact that she could not escape her fate.

She was destined to fall head over heels for someone. Never in a million years would she have guessed it would be the literal rainbow of a roommate she had. She also never expected her roommate to return those feelings.

Now, one might wonder how Wednesday knew of Enid's feelings for her. But Enid was not very goof at secret keeping. Or controlling herself.

Since Enid got to Wednesday's house, she had been sleeping in the same room as her. Every night, they grew closer and closer, and although Wednesday hated it. She accepted it greatly.

Wednesday was starved of touch. She knew this, even Thing knew it. Which was why he often sat on her shoulder, a comforting weight for her.

Wednesday had found it easier to go around being untouched by all around her. She thought maybe that's how to avoid the family curse. After all, touch is a powerful force. Just as Goody had shown her by saving her life.

One touch and a werewolf could find their mate, one touch and a poisonous frog could kill you, one touch, and Wednesday was falling.

And she hated it.

But she was an Addams, which meant she must make the creator of her horrid feelings aware. She must do it in the best way possible, the only way she knew how.

It would take clear planning, so instead of writing, she planned. Wednesday schemed for hours, long after the sun had set. So deep in thought that she barely heard the door creeking open.

"Wednesday." A small voice broke heart thought. She, of course, knew instantly who it was, who else would sneak into her room at 2 am.

"Yes, Enid, you may come in." Wednesday says, and she turns from her papers. Facing the creature she was deeply falling for.

Enid walked in slowly, closing the door silently.  "Can I stay in here again? Please." she spoke barely above a whisper. It was clear she was worried about pushing Wednesday beyond hee boundaries.

Little did Enid know that she could never push a boundary that wasn't even there to begin with. Wednesday would never allow Enid to stay alone in a room. Especially when she understood how disturbing dreams could be. Although she rather enjoyed them sometimes.

"Of course, you might as well keep your stuff in my room. If you are going to be sleeping in my bed every night, that is." Wednesday let little emotion slip by her well neutralized face. She knew Enid was always watching her. Watching for the slightest change in expression.

"Thank you!" Enid squealed ans leaped into Wednesday's bed. I'm not even trying to be discreet anymore.

Wednesday looked at Enid, who had already snuggled herself into the covers and had slowed her breathing.

She felt the tug, that familiar tug to go and hold her. To never let go of Enid, to protect her at all costs. Now, Wednesday knew Enid could protect herself. Really, it was one of Wednesday's reasons for falling for her. She also knew that Enid needed a shoulder to lean on constantly, though.

Wednesday got up and moved to be beside Enid in the bed. Restraining herself from crawling into her arms. Enid had already fallen into sleep, and Wednesday took the time to appreciate her face.

The wounds on her face had healed, leaving behind faint scars. On Wednesday, I loved to stare at ones Enid was having a hard time with.

Wednesday had little control, at least that's what she'd say it was if Enid woke up. She reached out and grazed her hand over those perfect scars.

She could feel Enid's body tense. After all, Wednesday was colder than cold. But after a moment, all of the tension left, and in her sleep, she even nuzzled closer to Wednesday's hand.

Wednesday knew then, she could not wait any longer. The werewolf needed to be hers. Hers and only hers forever.

And then she drifted off too, thinking about the girl fast asleep in front of her. How to make it her life's duty to protect the pure ball of energy. To allow herself to be loved and to love back.

After all, it was the only way an Addams knew how.
