Enid's Thoughts:Wednesday was leading them back to the house. Enid had no idea what to say or do, so she just stayed quiet as she followed Wednesday.
Neither girl spoke as they both tried to figure out their own feelings.
Well, Wednesday was probably trying to ignore her feelings. It's what she normally does.
Enid was becoming more and more caught up in the feeling of Wednesday's breath, just barely hitting her face moments prior. They had been so close, much too close for Wednesday's typical preference.
Enid had no idea how to handle her girlfriend and her feelings, especially when Wednesday did not even know how to handle her own feelings. How was Enid supposed to just guess? It was a headache for the young girl.
By the time Wednesday had arrived at her bedroom door, Enid was fuming. She'd talked herself into an angry emotional circle that was just going further and further down as the silence stretched.
Enid had no idea if Wednesday felt it or if she was just oblivious, as she often was.
Wednesday turned around sharply, and Enid had to jump back from almost being whipper by pigtails. It was almost funny enough to rid Enid of all her fumes. Almost.
"Enid." Wednesday said, she looked like there was a world of words waiting to come out, yet none of them ever did.
Wednesday felt like a pandoras box, Enid was desperate to open it and see the contents, yet she knew that once the box was open, there was no way to close it. She really did love Wednesday. She would never suggest anything to make her girlfriend change.
Yet she found herself wondering about the contents of the gothic queen's heart.
"Have you gone into shock? I said I can not open this door until your eyes are closed."
Enid blinked in confession. Had she really zoned out that hard? She pushed the thoughts aside and closed her eyes in compliance.
The sound of the door sliding open was all Enid heard at first. She was listening closely, trying to pick up on anything. She was mildly scared she was walking into a trap.
*POV BOTH GIRLS*
"I'm going to take your hand now as a precaution so you do not fall while trying to walk."
Cold fingers intertwined with Enid's own no longer after she had given a small nod of understanding.
Leave it to Wednesday to narrate the whole experience and always make sure Enid was comfortable with the unseen contact.
"Alright, do not move." Wednesday snaps, and the sound of a record player fills the room. It almost sounded like an instrumental version of one of Enid's favorite songs.
"You may open your eyes." Wednesday's voice was behind her now. The sentence was spoken not far behind her and barely above a whisper.
Enid had jumped just a bit. She also could not deny the chills she had just gotten from the miniscule moment. She ignores all that and opens her eyes.
Before her is, of course, Wednesday's room, but it's lit by candles and.. fairly lights! There's also pedals of various flowers laid meticulously on the floor (almost like each one had be sent very specifically in its own place), all around a small table set for two. There also happened to be Thing, and he was wearing a bow tie somehow.
He gave a polite wave to Enid, and she waved and smiled back at him.
"What is this, Weds?"
"The main portion of our date." Wednesday deadpanned, clearly not understanding Enid's actually question.
