It had been two years since the fall of the inquisition, losing my title and lover in the process.

I had taken to a life of seclusion, wandering the lands and watching the aftermath of the breach, of every decision I ever made at skyhold, every consequence.

About a year after the inquisition disbanded i wandered the emerald, falling down a tunnel that was in the thick of the trees, away from thee paths and eyes of others, when i landed in the bottom i thought i was in a dwarven cave, similar to the descent.

Of course that thought was soon cleared up when I realized this was like a whole new world that was alive under Thedas, at the core of this world.

And with a new world came new wonders but also fears. I had observed some plains from afar watching creatures that only existed in books and ones that I didn't know could be real roam around.

Soon after I had been found out, a herd of beings that were half horse half human, came herding around me with spears drawn.

I threw my hands up in surrender and they brought me to a small village and in front of an elder, I didn't speak a word of their language but the elder had sent a pulse of magic to me and suddenly I could.

They asked about my purpose for being there and I explained it was by chance. I also learned they were called centaurs, apparently there was also a race similar to the elves, my race, called fae.

They seemed to see I meant no harm and showed me different places, races.

The fae were similar to elves, pointy ears, dainty and beautiful as well as extremely attuned with magic but they were welcoming unlike the Dalish.

The next were the dragonkin, they reminded me of scaly Qunaris, their attitude was different though, they were boisterous, loud and family driven.

Then their dwarves were a little taller than the ones above this world, also family driven and they loved their caves as well but they didn't have casts.

Fae, dragonkin, dwarves and centuries were the  main beings, each with their own territory and kingdoms, there were other species, pixies, sprites, wraiths as well as their own local wildlife.

I explained what happened where i was from.and they told me they knew of the above, thats where they casted traitors from a war centuries ago that had taken part down here, the fae offered me a place to stay among them and i accepted it graciously.

My time with them I learned a lot and how similar we truly were.

Much like the old elven gods, They are immortal because of their magic, their magic was strong and the strongest was allowed to join a council that met with the other races, much like when the keepers of the Dalish all met to establish grounds and newly discovered information.

They were nimble and noble, close to each other just like the Dalish and they cherished history.

A few months after I felt a change going on in my body and spirit, I was intune with my emotions, they were stronger, the earth seemed louder as well as sounds, I could see the auras of others, my hair turning a few shades lighter and my magic was stronger.

I had a small amount of control over spirits, of course the Fae didn't see them as something to be controlled but as companions.

They told me that the spirits were here long before them, guardians to watch over our world, sent by the stars and guide us through our path of life and then take us to the stars in death.

The corrupted or demons are the ones that had their purpose stripped by mortals and imortals by sin on the way to the stars. I asked them about the fade and I was told that's where the spirits and demons lay watching to either look over us and control us.

The black city was once a city lit by star light, but Morphil the first mortal of sin blackened it by corrupting a spirit and twisting it into a demon, he was freed by the demon from death and taught more mortals to be driven by sin.

Thus feeding off the power that was also given by the demon, he craved for more and needed more followers to do that, using the black city as his throne.

Now that the fade is locked, spirits struggle to guide mortals and immortals in the above while demons that cannot find a vessel wait at the gates with Morphil to come through the gate and feed off the sin and fear of mortals and immortals.

Along with that history lesson i learned some things about my magic while here

I could control water, fire and earth better, clearer like before a wall had blocked off half my magic but being here shattered the wall.

I had taken this discovery to one of the counselors, they theorized that the elves were descents of fae that mingled with other species, I think it was dwarves and thus we were born.

Coming back here restored the essence of fae in my lineage, but we also discovered that the inter-species mixture made me stronger than the fae.

So they added me to the council, I helped settle disputes among the races, an outsiders opinion that was accepted on all parts, I helped with development and choices.

I admit it is nice to belong somewhere again despite the constant stress but all in all it was peaceful.

But like most things in my life the peace didn't last.
