Sooner than later, lunch came in no time. Shantel just came back from her first English class. "Man, that was hard lesson, even on the first day here," she chuckled to herself as she tried to find a table to sit and eat her packed lunch that her mum made for her. "Hopefully, she didn't put anything toxic in this or I'm making my own lunch," she thought to herself as she examined the huge canteen eating area. People looked like they'll in groups of their personalities, there were the sportsmen when all guys crowded around and hanged out to talk about and play sport like football for example. There were the geeks or as Shantel called them 'The nice guys', there were other groups that Shantel could pick from but chose not to. "Argh, I don't know where to sit," thought Shantel feeling frustrated. "I feel lonely again."

Suddenly, she had a flashback of last year's incident. "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT," yelled the teenage students. "Come on, Shanny don't be a girl now, woman up!" yelled a teenage girl at  the defenceless Shantel as she kicked her right leg hard while she was lying on the ground. "Stop it, it hurts, STOP IT!" shouted Shantel with tears of pain on her eyes. She couldn't see, her leg was covered in red thick blood, she was starting to feel dizzy and blacked out in serious pain. "Shantel," called a voice from the darkness. "Earth to Shantel!"

The voice made her come back to reality, she glanced at her limp foot. "I'm ok,  that's a relief," sighed Shantel as she turned towards the voice. "Oh, Ronel, how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough, you've been staring into space for almost 10 minutes, are you ok," asked Ronel looking worried in his eyes. "I'm alright, just thinking about some bad times," replied Shantel as tears started falling from her eyes. "Doesn't seem like your ok, come on. Let's go somewhere where we can talk with Danny," said Ronel as he placed his arm around her shoulders walking with her. "Why am I crying like this, it's been a year now since that incident, I'm so scared, I'm so alone," thought Shantel as she and Ronel kept walking down the hallway side by side.
