Rory's POV

"Rory McVey, To the office immediately."

Great, I move from my seat in English and walk off to Barkers office.
Turning the corner and making a left.
The huge oak door stands tall in front of me, great.
I knock once, then twice.
Three times, still nothing.

"Come in"

I open the door and turn around to close it.
But when I close it I hear a sigh,
Not a sound Barker can produce.

Too manly.

Oh no. I bang my head on the door and think of opening it and running for my life.
But then I remember Ron's words,

Give him a chance.

No, I can't give in to love again.
I'll just wound up broken again.

No Rory give him a chance

Xaylia!

Please dissapear, please make me die on the spot. If there is a god up there, I'll worship you if you kill me right now.
Please.

"Aurora, take a seat"

I hear Franny say. I cringe and want to growl in her face.
My fingers wrap around the cold door handle, like vines around a fence.
I want to turn around, but at the same time I want to open the door and run. Which path do I take?.

A small beeping alarm goes off behind me, I'm super tempted to turn around and see what it is.
But I have to stay put.

"Damn it that's my alarm, I've got to be off now young ones, have fun"

Within seconds her lean body is next to mine, savoring me in her fixated mind, crafted by the devil.
She sweeps past me and into the hall, I want to leave too. But some things anchored me here.
I can't stray from my spot.

What's there to lose?

I think turning around a bit.
I immediately lock eyes with a godly being before me, I feel like a endangered creature caught in the headlights of a hungry man.
My wolf repeats a rhythm of words,
Making me shiver.

"Alpha" I say, bowing my head slightly.
I walk towards him and take a seat in Barkers Spinny chair thing

"Aurora" he compliments

"I prefer Rory" I correct.

"Right"

His eyes are so blue, I just want to drown in them. They shadow them self with dark thick lashes that make my heartbeat speed up.

"My name is Leidavathan"

God even his name is hot!

He raises an eyebrow at me, and I think I just died.

"I only have one question for you Rory. "

He leans his head on his fist, but still towers over me.

"Why did you run?"

My heart bursts and for some odd reason, I want to bawl my eyes out.

"I don't know" I whisper, hoping he won't hear my words.

"I never believed in second chances,
I convinced myself I was better alone."

I look down at my light red converse.

"But truth is, I never felt...complete"

"Me neither" he whispers.

I want to throw myself into his arms, I want to accept the fact that I might have a chance with someone.

But my body won't allow it.

"I knew you wouldn't want me, because of what I am."

I cover my tear stained face.

"What? You think just because your a hybrid means your not good enough for me?"

I nod, awaiting the heartbreak.

"No way, whoever taught you that your not good enough must be crazy"

I look up at him, but find no traces of lies or laughter on his tanned face.

"I taught myself"

Within seconds I'm in his arms, gathered in a heap as I cry my eyes out, I can't let this happen, I can't give in.

But just as I want to convince myself,
Something hits me. And I realize that I need to wake up.

Heartbreaker or not we were destine and I need to be more considerate.

Xaylia?

Yes?
