Anthony's POV
"Leave this house now!" Dad yelled. He always did things like this, but he had never told me to leave. Sure, to leave him alone but never home. I stomped out the door and straight across the street to the store. As I crossed the bustling streets of Manhattan, I arrived at the small convenience store located in the most dangerous part of the city. Closed. I looked through the window and saw the man moving a large stand filled with potato chips. He looked very scared. I knocked on the window and he looked up. He quickly ran over and opened the shop. "Anthony, what are you doing here? It's too dangerous to be here alone. Go back home. Get your brother and then come back okay?" The man said kindly. "No Paul," I replied," Dad told me to leave. Where else would I go?" Paul was a funny dude. He dressed nicely, was clean and was well educated. He even went to university. But for some reason he decided to run a smelly old shop on the streets of Manhattan. Everytime Dad yelled at any of us, we came down to Paul's store and chilled for a bit. He was always kind to us and I would trust him with anything. "Anthony, you have to leave now. It isn't safe, especially for you, now go home." Suddenly, there was a massive bang from the back of the store. "Get me out of here!" A loud voice yelled. Paul looked at me and said, "tell your father that it's time to go to camp. He'll know what to do. Go!" Paul ran towards the back and I went in the opposite direction. "Dad!" I yelled. "I thought I told you to leave!" He said. "I'm sorry for yelling at you but we have bigger things to worry about. Paul told me that it's time to go to camp. What does that mean?"
"Oh no. Anthony, get your brother and sister. Pack your things quickly!"
"Why what's happening?"
"There's no time. Hurry!" That was the first time my father actually cared about us in a long time. I ran into the room my siblings and I shared. Matt, my older brother, and my twin, Leia, were sitting on my bed talking to each other. "And where were you young man?" Matt asks playfully. "Matty, we need to go now," I say with a stern face. His smile drains from his face. He gets off the bed and he towers over me. "What's wrong?"
"That's the problem. I don't know."
