Michael's POV

I led the new campers towards the Big House to get their armour. Matt and Anthony both waited with the other male campers for their armour and Leia stood in the girls line, looking lost. I walked towards her to offer my help.

"Hey, you alright?" I ask her.

"No, I don't really know what I'm looking for," she tells me.

"Don't worry, I'll help you." I excuse myself past the girls crowding around for their armour. This was the spare armour garage and all the armour that we had owned was still in need of reparations. I walked over and grabbed a breastplate I thought might fit her. When she saw me coming back she gave me a killer smile. No, no, if I went down that path, I know what everyone in my cabin will say: "What kind of a leader is he?" "I knew he shouldn't have been chosen." I turn my head and hand it over to her.

"I hope it fits," I say as she puts on the armour. I look back and see that she's having trouble. I want to help her but that would involve touching her in front of a large group of campers who already think I'm unfocused and over my head. I close my eyes, pursing my lips and walk away over to the Big House trying to avoid anymore contact with anyone. Unfortunately I'm approached by Lindsey Vi, my half sister and personal tormentor. She stopped right next to me placing her hand on my shoulder. She leaned in to whisper in my ear.

"Don't do anything stupid, you got that? Like how you answered that question wrong in our cabin quiz," she said facing me.

"Look, that was seven years ago, how was I supposed to know what Deoxyribonucleic acid was at the age of 9?" I argue.

"Well you didn't have to put your hand up."

"I didn't. James picked me. Why does everyone remember it differently?"

"Okay, shut up. You know, you are a classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain."

"Wait, isn't that from Doctor Who?" She smiled.

"Finally! I've memorised that insult and everytime I use it, nobody gets it. Just don't get caught up with the new girl. She's a greenie, don't make yourself look like one too." Lindsey walks away and I continue towards the Big House. Don't let the title of Captain fool you, everyone pretty much had authority over me. If we lost, I was just there to take the blame and if we won, I was there to be yelled at for not doing enough.

Chiron blew the conch and everyone stared to make their way to the forest. My unnecessary trip to the Big House was rerouted to the field of play. I was already wearing my armour but was missing my sword. I had left it back at the Cabin. I turned towards my Cabin and brushed past all the campers going to the forest. When I reached there, I saw that someone was sitting on my bunk, playing with my sword. They were tossing it into each hand and looking at its balance. They didn't look up from what they were doing and spoke.

"Hey Mikey. How's life?" My sibling asks. Jonathan, my prick of an older brother was playing with my sword, Pantheon. Most of the campers in the same cabin as me were my half siblings. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of being related to Jonathan biologically. He wasn't dropped off here by our mother. He was sent to a Juvenile Corrections Facility in Ohio. Then, when he was 12, he escaped using his hands, a tomato and a fork. So as a 17 year old, he decides that stealing didn't quench his thirst for terrorisation and now annoys me. Nobody notices him though. Its like no one wants to get to know him because they know they'll end up with one eye. That's why he is given a free pass from any activities. He doesn't really need any more training because it'll just make him way more dangerous than he always is. Jonathan usually spends his free time reading surprisingly, broadening his vocabulary to insult me in many different ways. Plus he is learning French, Japanese, Hindi, Spanish and Russian all at once, so I have the pleasure of being ridiculed in six different languages.

"Jonothan, can you please just give me Pantheon. The game is about to start," I ask impatiently.

"Oh but I want to talk to you pagal," he laughs.

"Look 'pagal', whatever that means, I don't have time for your stupid tricks. Now hand over my sword so I can go."

"Wow, someone's in a bad mood. Don't worry Mikey. Just remember that whatever you do won't be as worse as that time you make the cabin lose that quiz. I heard you really messed that one up."

"Really? They talk about that now? Never mind that, I really need your help but I will have to ask you later. Please Jono, can I have my sword?" He smiles.

"Sure kid, don't worry, I understand." He hands over my sword but as he does, he jabs straight past my neck, a smirk plastered on his face. My eyes widen and he just looks at me. "Good luck out there Mikey." He lowers the swords and hands it to me. Psycho. I shake my head as I walk out of the cabin and hear him humming "Can you feel the love tonight" from The Lion King, which causes it to be stuck in my head. While on the way back, I catch a glimpse of Leia in her armour. Her brown hair flowing in the breeze as she stands quietly with her bow in her hand. 'Can you feel, the love tonight?'  I hum and then it hits me like a stack of bricks. Uh oh. It's happening.
