Chapter 2: Surprise

I did not give any response until we got off the car.Khun Sam,despite wanting to know why I was being quiet followed closely behind me. When I made a sudden stop,she collided into me so hard so much so she bounced off backwards.

"Oops..Khun Sam,Are you ok?"

I turned around and panicked.My head also felt painful from our collision.The sweet-face lady just stared at me and continued on with  our talk  earlier,not wanting to have a change of topic.

"Why are you being all silent?I have just proposed to you!"

"How do you want me to answer you?"

"Say what is on your mind.Or if you can't answer me now,you can show how ecstatic you are instead.I had just proposed to you,not asking you to go for a dinner at the night market"

"Do you want me to hold a pompom too?" I asked her cheekily.

"Why does everyone want  to hold a pompom today?Everyone is just copying me" Khun Sam made a long face.I chucked as she made a cute puffy-cheeks face and could not help but to reach over to pinch her cheeks.

"So cute"

"Don't change the topic.Will you marry me?"

"Let me think about it first" I replied.

"Think about it?!" The sweet-faced lady looked so shocked that it had stunned me too.

"Don't you have any thoughts about marrying me?I have always thought that if I had proposed to you,you would get excited and start singing the diligent farmers are the backbone of our nation~~~.."

"Such an old song.I have to think about it first. There are so many factors which are causing me to hesitate.

"Don't you believe in me?"

"Mon believe you with all my heart but I still think  of your late grandmother.Even though she had passed away but the promise still stands. I do not want to break a promise"

My explaination about her grandmother had made Khun Sam to go silent.She had probably worried over this too but yet she still proposed to me anyway.

"And I know that Khun Sam proposed because you are afraid that I would feel bad over not getting a wedding ceremony like others right?"

"Isn't that what every woman dream of?"

"For me,being with Khun Sam gives me enough happiness"

"Does that mean that you won't want to marry me?"

"It means let me think about it first.Can  you give me some time?"

She chewed the inside of her cheeks abit and nodded.

"Very well then.It's not as if you don't have the reason not to anyway.You are indeed a noble person to stand to a promise"  She said while walking over to give me a hug.We embraced for awhile to let the smell of each other gave us some reassurance.I have always adored the smell of Khun Sam,that sweet smelling fragrance that she have always been using always gave me a sense of comfort.

"But there must be a dateline.When will you be giving me the answer?" she insisted.

"Can you please give me a week?"

"Three days?" she bargained.

"Not enough"

"In three days then.Deal" she concluded.

She is still Khun Sam,that businesswoman whom i know that has always have a plan and dateline for everything inclusive of our relationship.I just nodded in agreement,refusing to carry on the argument.I turned away instead to take a bath  and prepare myself for bed.In my opinion,marriage would be an unpleasant deal as it would come along with several  formalities which would involve my family.I am not even sure on whether they would give us any blessings to it.Being in a relationship with another woman was already a shocking news to them hence i have to consider it carefully before making any decisions.A ceremony would mean that it will no longer be about only two people.
