Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a loooong time but I've had major writers block and I didn't have much time with assignments and stuff *sigh* oh well! Next chapter is here, hope you enjoy!
(Rio's P.O.V)
As I got out of the steamy shower, I wrapped myself and my wet hair with a towel. I sighed as I rubbed my temples, thinking about my brother and Kite. "Gosh, why can't the two boys just get along?" I mumbled to myself as I turned the door knob and started heading in the direction of my room.
(TIME SKIP)
As I looked at myself in the mirror wearing my tight jeans and red and black striped t-shirt, I smiled to myself as I let my hair down from the towel and let it wave over my shoulders in its natural form. Suddenly, I heard a knocking coming from the front door, I took a quick look at myself again and opened the door "ILL GET IT!!" I shouted as I ran to the door, looked myself once over again and opened the door only to see a familiar, bored looking face with blond and turquoise hair, the one and only kite. I smiled a closed eyed smile at the male at my door. As I opened my eyes I looked at the male who now had a sorrowful look on his face. My face instantly came to possess a worried expression as I slept aside to let him in. "Come" I said barely above a whisper and gesturing him to come inside.
(Kite's P.O.V)
As I looked toward the ground as I stepped into the clean house. I could feel Rio's worried stare as I closed my eyes and put my hands in my pocket, sighing. "So... Why are you here?" I heard Rio say, crossing her arms and looking down. I was silent for a while and then decided to talk "Hart..." I said barely audible but I guess she could of heard it as she began to talk "Hart? What's wrong with Hart?" Rio said with a slightly more worried voice than usual. "Hart... He is very sick... And I don't know what to do, I've tried everything I can think of but there is only one option left I think..." I said while my voice hitched multiple times as I fought back the tears that threatened to spill from my eyes. "And that option is?" Said Rio while she put a hand on my shoulder and caressed it with her thumb. "Dr Faker and Heartland said... That if I could collect number cards than it would give Hart the strength he needs to get back on his feet..." I said as I wiped the tears forming in my eyes and continued to talk "but the thing is... When I collect the numbers from people, I have to take their souls aswell..." I said as I heart Rio gasp at the sound of what I just said.
(Rio's P.O.V)
"Kite" I said as I looked at the male in front of me struggling to keep his tears at bay and put my hand on his chin "Kite, look at me" I said as he raised his head to look at mine. I wiped a tear that was rolling on his cheek and continued to talk "you need to do whatever you need to do to help family" I looked over at Sharks room and smiled slightly and looked back at Kite "I would do anything for my family and I bet you would do the same, I say follow your heart and what it wants you to do... I... I'll even help you collect numbers if it becomes to much for you" I said as I smiled to him and cupped his cheek in my hand as my motherly instincts came in as I caressed his cheek.
(Kite's P.O.V)
'I'll even help you collect numbers if it becomes to much for you' I thought about that sentence over and over again as I moved my hand to cover Rios. "Th-thank you" i managed to squeak out as I cleared my throat. 'She's so caring and nice... Even after what happened to her, I wish I could be like her' I thought to myself as I brung her in for a hug and buried my head in the crook of her neck.
(Rio's P.O.V)
I was taken back at the sudden hug that I was in and blushed as I figured out what was happening. "It's no problem... Really, I'll be here for you until the end" I said as I hugged back Kite just as tight as he was hugging me and then we let go and stared at each other but then Kite broke the awkward silence "I better be going" Kite said as he started walking towards the door but turned to look at me "I'll see you around?" Kite questioned and I nodded while smiling, with that, he left and closed the door behind him. 'So he does have a heart? I thought that didn't exist with how he acts around others' I giggled to myself at my little remark and made my way to my bed.
