Days had passed since the day Rye got her injury and she had yet to wake up. This didn't stop Neteyam from worrying day after day and checking up on her. He only left her when he needed to leave or was instructed to. He would sit there staring at her patiently like a dog. Oh how badly he wanted her to wake up so he could hear her lovely voice once again. He cheered at the thought of her gaining consciousness, but he knew she was tired from all the pain that she so bravely inflicted and indulged.

Right now it was the usual time that Neteyam would go arrive at the Muri she was being treated in. And just like always Neteyam would sit down next to Rye while cutting some fruit while she slept. He had gotten used to the sounds of her soft snoring along with the silence.

Everything was just like how it has been for the past few days until it wasn't. Neteyam heard a groan come from her which was odd because he hadn't made any noise or movement since getting knocked unconscious. He stopped cutting and looked over at her, leaning closer to see if it was her. She slowly began to move which made him flinch. Her eyes fluttered open upon the movement, the sun immediately gleaming over her teal eyes. Neteyam sat there speechless thinking it was a dream. Her eyes landed on him.

"Ugh... Neteyam...it hurts.." her voice so so faint and soft it was hard to hear but Neteyam heard it loud and clear. "Ryelorea! You're awake," he gleamed up going over to her with a smile. "Oh, Neteyam... are you okay? Did you get hurt..?" She asked him faintly.

He was overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time. He was so happy to see her woke. He laid his hand on her cheek as his eyes tear up. " I can't, believe you're woke. I'm so sorry for hurting you, I'm so sorry that I caused you so much pain. You were suffering and I saw you- I didn't know what to do. I was so scared that I lost you." Tears fell from his cheeks when he saw the soft expression that washed over her face.

"Oh, Teyam.." She whispered to him putting her hand on his cheek. "I'm so sorry, I don't care about any of that bull shit that we argued about the thought of losing you broke me Rye. When I heard your screaming I- I hated that it was all my fault." Neteyam poured his whole heart out to her holding onto her for dear life shaking, more than he noticed. Rye wasn't all the way connected to what is happening right now but all she knew was that Neteyam needed her. She rubbed his cheek and coughed a bit interrupting him.
