Mason Foster is a normal teenager. At least, that's what he'll tell you. He loves to eat, sleep, train his Pokémon, and claim that it's not a big deal that he's the champion of Kalos.
Normal stuff, really.
Something Mason doesn't like, however, is publicity. That would explain why he kept his identity secret by wearing a mask and hood during the entirety of his league conquest.
Keeping his battling life separate from his personal life had its benefits, too. He didn't have to worry about paparazzi everywhere he went, he didn't need to go out extremely late at night to avoid being recognized, and all while getting the benefits of champion as well.
However, all of the positives doesn't mean that there aren't any negatives. There are hundreds of thousands of people that are eager to find out his true identity. One of them went as far as trying to rush on stage as he was giving a speech to try and rip his mask off.
The kid tripped on the stairs and was promptly escorted out of the stadium.
Another negative is that remaining anonymous isn't an easy task. He has to inspect everywhere he stays very closely to make sure that nobody sees him take off or put on his mask.
Even though all of the negatives are there, Mason loves his life. He can do almost anything he wants, whenever he wants.
So, imagine his surprise when the one person that knows his true identity decides to make him get a proper education, the reason that Mason became a Pokémon trainer in the first place.
How does Mason fair in school? Will he be able to manage both of his lives at the same time? Well, come with me, dear readers. Together, we'll find out what happens when there's A Master Among Students.

Hello everybody, and welcome to "A Master Among Students"! I've never written a story like this before, so it'll definitely be sloppy at points.
As for an update schedule, I don't really have one. Expect chapters to be around 2-5k words long, that's the goal, but I don't know how consistent I'll be with it.
