The Unexpected (LawLu)

CHAPTER 11

Sorry I haven't updated in a bit. I had some stuff going on with school.

The next day (1 day until Zou arrival)~

Law woke up a little bit before the sun was supposed to rise. He was always an early riser.... when he slept. He was normally up at this time because he just hadn't slept. He had some minor insomnia. It wasn't exactly that he had trouble falling asleep, though sometimes it was. Most of the time the problem was staying asleep. He would normally wake up early in the morning -much too early for anyone else to be awake- and not be able to go back to sleep. 

He looked down and saw Luffy laying on his chest drooling on his shirt. 'Cute~ ... but also kinda gross,' he thought to himself as he lightly chuckled. He carefully got out from under Luffy and got off the pallet they had slept on. Law covered Luffy back up and walked to the kitchen. 

He needed coffee. Now. 

As he walked into the kitchen, he saw someone he hadn't been expecting. Though, he hadn't been expecting anyone this early in the morning. 

"Robin-ya, what are you doing awake this early?" Law asked walking over to the coffee pot and pouring himself a mug full of the bitter liquid. He drank it black. 

"I could ask you the exact same thing," she countered

"Insomnia for me, now you," he motioned for her to talk with the mug in his hand.

"I like watching the sunrise. I will be waking Franky up in a little bit to watch it with me," she smiling softly.

"You and Franky-ya are dating?" Law quirked an eyebrow.

"Yes. It may seem like an abnormal match, but it works quite well. He is very hands on, and I enjoy watching the hands on activities. Ever since Enies Lobby we have been... connected, in a way. I know it may sound odd, but I feel that it is the truth." Robin explained with care flooding her facial features.

"Sounds nice. I kind of think that may be how it was for me and Luffy-ya. Ever since Sabaody at the human auctions. When I saw him punch the Celestial Dragon, I knew he had balls. And the more time I spent with him.... the more I didn't want to leave. Until that feeling of belonging eventually turned into the love I hold for him now." He smiled reminiscing. He didn't know why he was telling her all of this... she was just easy to talk to.

"I understand completely. I just hope you love our captain the right way. I'm going to go get Franky up now. I enjoyed the early morning chat." Robin got up and left the room. Law just walked back out on deck to go sit by Luffy. He pulled out a medical book he had brought with him to read, though he had already finished it 5 times. He didn't have anything else to do until his boyfriend woke up, so he decided to sit, read his book, and watch the sky.

It was a peaceful morning. Law was happy, for the first time in a very long time. He looked down at his boyfriend who was sleeping noisily beside him. He felt a small smile creep onto his lips. This teenager had managed to turn his entire life upside down a few different times. And, if he was being honest, Law loved it.

 As the sun rose, Luffy began to stir and wake up. He finally sat up and wiped the sleep from his eyes, then turned his eyes to Law. Luffy gave a huge smile before hugging his boyfriend. In the background all Law heard was "Awwwwww" said by at least 5 different people. He cringed, but hugged Luffy back. He couldn't resist.

Luffy was the one who pulled away first, he jumped up and ran to the kitchen. He was hungry (imagine that) and wanted breakfast. Law followed behind, walking slowly. He just kept thinking that yesterday wasn't a dream. He just kept thinking, 'Luffy-ya and I are actually dating. I can barely believe it.' He entered the kitchen and saw Luffy at the fridge eating some fruits. 

"Do you want me to cook you breakfast? I'm not as good as Blackleg-ya, but I'm pretty decent." Law offered.

"YES PLEASE!!!!" Luffy replied excitedly. He ran to the table and sat down. 

Law got to work on the breakfast, and after about 45 minutes there were eggs, bacon, and pancakes sitting on the table. 

Law sat down beside Luffy and fixed himself a small plate. He started eating, and noticed Luffy was staring at him.

"Is something wrong?" Law inquired.

"Your eyes.... are really pretty." Luffy lightly touched Laws cheek.

"T-t-thank y-you." Law stuttered as he blushed and turned away. He wasn't expecting that, at all.

"They look gold, but I thought they were grey?" Luffy said tilting his head to the side in confusion.

"They have gold undertones. The undertones become more visible in certain lighting. I guess these lights do the trick." Law explained putting his hand on the hand Luffy had resting on his cheek. He started to slowly lean towards Luffy. Luffy leaned towards Law too. They were about to kiss when the door was kicked open and Zoro walked in. He didn't look angry, except, he did?

"What's wrong Zoro?" Luffy asked with his hand still on Laws cheek.

"It took me an hour and a half to get here. I somehow got lost!!" Zoro yelled in frustration. He walked over and sat down beside Luffy and Law. "By all means, continue what you were doing. As long as its not sex, but it doesn't look like it was" Zoro chuckled to himself.

Luffy quickly leaned forward and gave Law a peck on the lips. Law blushed furiously and thought to himself, 'How is he able to do this to me?!?'. 

Zoro saw the look on Laws face and chuckled. 

The 3 men were slowly joined by the rest of their rag-tag little group. Luffy and Law sat and ate breakfast side-by-side as they had grown accustomed to. They held hands while Luffy talked excitedly about Zou. They would be there by tomorrow morning. Robin, Franky, and Usopp were talking about their new invention. Zoro was asleep with his head on the table. 

It was a peaceful breakfast. The peaceful breakfast led to a very peaceful day full of lounging around. Law and Luffy cuddled and played simple games. Robin sat in Franky's lap reading while he just held her reading over her shoulder. Usopp, Kin'emon, and Kanjuro were messing with Usopp's plants again. Zoro slept soundly against the mast of the ship.

The day went by like that. After dinner, they all decided to go to sleep to prepare for the day ahead of them tomorrow. 

They would finally all be able to be together again.

Hiiiiii. So, I know you probably think there was some foreshadowing towards the end and I just wanted to say.... you're right.

 There will be massive spoilers next chapter so if you don't want them, please don't read.
