Jin's POV:

My new housemaid had moved in with her two sons.

I shivered remembering that there are children living in my house. I had given them a room on the ground floor, while I slept on the second floor.

The further the better.

Flashback:

One hour ago:

Third Person's POV:

Jin let out an annoyed sigh, pulling his phone out from his pocket. He called Iseul, and after two rings, a cheerful voice spoke.

"Hello Jin, how ar-"

"Iseul! Why does the new maid have kids? You know how much I hate those little devils."

"Listen young man, first of all don't cut me off in between. I taught you better manners."

"You-"

"Shh don't interrupt me either."

"Don't they mean the same though... fine go on with your preaching" he murmured.

"I heard that! And yeah, you do need some preaching Jinnie. You can't live all your life avoiding kids as if they are predators."

"That is because they are! All they do is destroy."

"None of that again please Jin. I know you've had unpleasant experiences, but you can't let that dictate your life like this. Don't you remember? How many side-eyes you had gotten because of this, two years ago?"

"But Iseul-"

"Okay, fine. Two months. Let them stay for two months and if you still can't bear them after that, I'll tell Jang-Mi to move out. Deal?"

"One month"

"Three months"

"Okay one and a half"

"Three and a half"

"One month three weeks"

"Five months"

"Two months"

"Deal"

"Wait... Argh! You-"

"Haha you always fall for these tricks. Anyways, you better keep your end of the deal and keep your behaviour good. I'll call you later. Make sure to eat properly and take care of yourself well. I better not find out that you are eating take-outs, because Jang-Mi is a very good cook."

"Okay Mom~" he sang, and she laughed.

.

After the call ended, Jin went back to the door and put on a fake smile, opening the door. He saw Jang-Mi and her elder son sitting on the outdoor chairs, while the youngest child chased a butterfly around.

"Stupid kid" Jin mumbled looking at the running boy.

Jang-Mi stood up as soon as she spotted Jin.

"Mr. Kim"

"You can call me Jin. Please excuse me for my earlier behaviour. I was...surprised." he said remembering Iseul's words about how he should 'behave'.

"Ah...it's okay Mr- Jin."

"Okay, please come in" Jin said, but Jang-Mi stood still, fidgeting.

"Is there a problem Mrs. Min?"

"Uh um...actually I don't have a single penny with me, because of... circumstances, and the taxi outside..." she trailed off, embarrassed about having to ask for the taxi fare from Jin.

"It's alright Mrs. Min. Give me a moment." Jin said walking in and returning with some money.

"Here, you can pay for the taxi ride, and get my watchman to help you with your luggage."

"Thank you Jin" she smiled taking the money and walking towards the gate.

Jin looked at the little boys who were now in front of him and took a step back.

Both the boys were staring at him... well not exactly. The elder boy was glaring at him, and the younger was looking at him with fascination.

Jin noticed the elder boy's glare and stuck his tongue out at him, making the boy scoff and roll his eyes.

"Disrespectful brat" he mumbled under his breath, looking at the boy's reaction.

But this exchange caused a giggle to erupt from the younger boy, his bunny like teeth on display.

Before Jin could say anything else, he saw Jang-Mi walk back in, so he threw a "stay away from me" at the children before walking into the house.

Present:

Jin's POV:

I was currently lying on my bed glancing through the script of my new movie, when a knock interrupted me.

I didn't want to be disturbed, but realizing it must be Mrs. Min, I sighed walking up to the door and pulling it open.

I frowned when I didn't see anyone but jumped back when there was a tug at my pant, and I saw the kid from earlier. He was standing in front of me, a stuffed bunny and a coloured card clutched in his hands.

"Why are you here?" I half-shouted, causing the kid to flinch.

"Uh- he-hello I am Jungkook... but you can call me Kookie. I made thish card for you, ash a thank you."

(A/N: A thing to keep in mind: Whenever Kookie uses a word with 's' in it, it will be 'sh' instead of 's', because I think it makes his speech cuter😅 I'll also add some spelling errors in between.)

"I don't want it so you can go back to your room brat." I said, wanting him out of my sight as soon as possible. But he furrowed his eyebrows at my words.

"Hey! I am not a brat, I am good. But why do you not want my thank you card? I made it esh- eshpecillally for you. Bunny and I even had to fight all dark monshtersh from my room to yoursh, sho that I can give thish to you." he said extending the card to me.

(A/N: Dark monsters is darkness.)

"Pleashe take it angel, pleashe" he pouted, his bambi-like eyes staring at mine.

"Fine just keep it on the floor and go away."

"Okay, but pleashe read it. It'sh very shpecial, becaushe I put my favourite shticker in it."

"Okay okay I will, now go."

"Okay! I and Bunny will fight the dark monshtersh again and go back. Bye angel. Good night and don't let the bedbugsh bite."

I sighed in relief as he left. I watched him reach the end of the hallway, and make sword-slashing motions with his bunny, as he walked into the darkness.

I bet if Iseul was here right now, she would say "Jin, switch on that master switch beside you and turn on all the mansion lights. Poor kid is struggling in darkness."

I scoffed at the thought.

"Sorry Iseul I'm not going to do that because it will increase my electricity bill." I mumbled as I picked up the card 'Kookie' placed on the floor and shut my room door.
