{ chapter 12 }

Y/n POV:

After I finished work I looked at the clock and it was 4:30pm .

We were going to close early today.
I glanced at the café and the boys were still there.

I grabbed the books that I decided to give jongho because he won't accept my offer so I thought I could give him a new book.

I paid for the books.

Uncle Lee:" so you're buying books but those two , you  already have it."

Y/n:" well I'm buying it as a gift."

Uncle Lee:" for a friend or should I say to  one of those  boys."

Y/n:" we are not friends or I don't know really but I guess I kinda like them and they seemed fine about me not talking much and I kinda owe jongho a new book ."

Uncle Lee:" it's okay y/n , I'm really glad that you're opening up and please you didn't have to pay for anything but I'll allow it  because I know you won't take it if I refused to take the money but next time you really don't need to pay . Okay "

Y/n:" okay uncle Lee. I'll take my leave now take care of yourself okay and enjoy your week."

I gave him a big hug.

He hugged me very tight.

Uncle Lee:" you too take care of yourself and call me whenever you like or need me okay. Don't forget to water the plants when you check the store and don't forget to hang up the sign. okay."

We said our goodbyes and I put the sign on the bookstore door and went to the café.

I entered the café and wow it was really beautiful

It had a classy style yet it was very warm and cozy.

As soon as I entered I was met with seonghwa.

Y/n:" um , hi seonghwa-ssi . I'm here to meet jongho is he still around?"

Hwa:"y/n! Hi , yeb he's still here , let me call him for you ."

While I was waiting for them hongjoong appeared.

Hong:" oh y/n what are you doing here ?"

Y/n:" I'm here to give jongho something."

Jongho:" y/n hii."

Y/n :" heyy jongho."

He was really cute even though we were the same age.

Y/n:" I Know you won't come and select a book for the book I ruined so I decided to gift you something and I really hope you liked it ."

I handed him the books .

Y/n:" the small one is the Glass Menagerie it's one of my favorite plays, and the second one is A Tale of Two Cities .

It's really hard to read, it took me some time but I managed to finish it so tell me if you didn't get anything ."

He was looking at them without saying anything.

Y/n :" please don't tell me you already read it."

Jongho:" first, thank you. you really didn't have to. And second I already read the Glass Menagerie it was required by a class I had "

When he saw that I was really disappointed. He continued

Jongho:"  as for the tale of two cities, I have always wanted to read it . So thank you so much for your gifts."

I gave him a smile.

Hong:" y/n I just noticed but you're closing the store for a week?."

Y/n:" yes , we close for a week every couple of months due to uncle Lee leaving for his town."

Hwa:" so you're free right? You don't have anything right?"

Y/n:" yeah I'm free I only work at the bookstore , but why do you ask?"

Hwa:" because I'm thinking about offering you a job or a part time job."

Whattttt!! I was shocked why they would hire me.

Hong:" Hwa ....."

I noticed them having a silent conversation after they finished wherever happened.

Hong joong turned to me and said smiling

Hong:" we would like to offer you a job for a week. We are a lot but an extra hand would be great. We are going to open the café on Friday ."

Hwa:" you're basically going to help us around, I need both Hong and woo who is the second chef in the kitchen and might even need jongho too so we will be short on the rest of things,

you won't have to work at the opening day .

It's just gonna be for the preparation. What do you think?"

I was really shocked. I mean I won't be bored all day and I can use the extra money, I really want to buy uncle Lee something good on his birthday. I  was taking a long time thinking.

Hong:" it's really okay if you refuse, ."

Y/n:" no ...I just never worked in a café before and I'm afraid I would not be a lot of help but .... Okay I accept."

Hong:" thank you y/n I'm really glad to have you with us ."

Hwa:" okay so that's done. Y/n welcome to Ateez's café."
