Hiding Out

     After their unexpected attack of the Interior MP'S, they his in a warehouse to refill the gas tanks, and try to relax before coming up with a plan to save their friends.

Izuku: "Armin, are you alright?"

Armin: "I will be; Eventually."

Izuku: "What do you mean?"

Armin: "When I pointed the gun at her, she already had hers pointed at Jean. But, she hesitated before she could shoot. I didn't though. I pulled the trigger, and shot her down. I'm-."

     Just then, Levi interrupted Armin before he could finish.

Levi: "A killer; And now that your hands have been soaked in blood, the person you once were is gone for good."

     Everyone else was shocked by what Levi said, and got upset with it.

Katsuki: "What the hell, Man?"

Shoto: "Why would you say something like that?"

Levi: "And you shouldn't regret it either; Because if you had chosen to keep your hands clean, Jean would be a corpse on a cart right now. Armin, everyone managed to survive today because, you got your hands soaked in blood. Thank you."

     Armin knew that Levi was right, and stood up to walk out for some air.

Izuku: "I'm gonna go check on him."

     Izuku then got up to go check on Armin, and Jean eventually spoke up.

Jean: "Captain Levi, I can see now that I was in the wrong, Sir. I thought it was wrong for us to kill people, but no. Next time, I swear I'll shoot."

Levi: "I never said who was in the right or wrong here. My moral high ground shot to Hell. I don't know who's in the right or wrong here. I never saw any of this coming."

     Everyone knew that Levi was being honest, and went silent. Eventually, he spoke up again.

Levi: "Now then, I think it's time to ask our guest here what he knows."

     Just then, Levi, Mikasa, and Shoto walked over to the merchant to see what he knows. However, Shoto didn't know him and asked.

Shoto: "Who's this?"

Mikasa: "I've seen him before, Shoto; He was a merchant blocking the gate in Wall Rose."

Levi: "Oh yeah; Dimo Reeves, right? I've got a lot of questions to ask you."

     They both then started investigating the merchant, and got the answers they needed. Soon enough, the squad went to an old abandoned castle to hide in, and started making a plan. Shoto was deep in his thoughts about everything and still felt a bit confused about why his comrades were kidnapped.

Shoto: "(This is getting frickin ridiculous; What the hell could those MP soldiers want with Eren and Historia? I know that they want Eren dead, but why would they go after Historia too?)"

     Eventually, he walked over to Mikasa, and tried to check on her making sure that she was still okay.

Shoto: "Hey, Mikasa, are you gonna be alright?"

Mikasa: "I will be once we get our friends back."

Shoto: "Hang in there; We'll get them soon."

     Just then, Mikasa felt like something was on her mind, and decided to ask Shoto about it.

Mikasa: "Hey, Shoto?"

Shoto: "Hmm?"

Mikasa: "I know this is hard to bring up, but what was your childhood like before you got to know us?"

     Shoto knew that Mikasa wasn't gonna let that go, and decides to tell her everything.

Shoto: "Well, it was a very difficult time for me, my mom, and my siblings. We were all tortured by my monster of a dad for years."

Mikasa: "Really? How?"

Shoto: "Have you ever heard of 'Quirk Marriages'?"

Mikasa: "No; What's that?"

Shoto: "During the 3rd and 4th generation when quirks became more noticeable, my father had an arranged marriage to my mother. He wanted a child to help him surpass the No.1 Hero named All Might."

Mikasa: "How did that turn out?"

Shoto: "At first, when Toya came around, it was starting to go fine. However, he wasn't enough. After my elder sister, Fuyumi, and my 2nd eldest brother, Natsuo, they didn't have much potential with their powers either. Once I was born, my father finally got his hybrid. My mother, Toya, and I were most tortured by him."

Mikasa: "Really?"

Shoto: "I remembered how she called my left side unbearable..... before she lost control and poured boiling water on my face."

     That got Mikasa deeply shocked, and she almost yelled and drew attention. However, she stayed partially calm and continued to let Shoto talk.

Mikasa: "What?"

Shoto: "The scar that I have now was because of the monster that hurt my family. I began hating my father since that tragic day."

Mikasa: "Shoto, it wasn't entirely her fault; Your father tortured the 3 of you for years and she lost her control because of him."

Shoto: "I know; I could never hate my mom. She would never try something like that on purpose."

Mikasa: "Shoto..."

Shoto: "Mikasa, I beg of you, please don't tell anyone about what I spoke with you. I don't want your comrades to think that I was weak before."

Mikasa: "Hey, don't worry, your secret's safe with me."

Shoto: "Thank you."

     Shoto then walked back over to the rest of the squad, and Mikasa took a moment to think about everything that Shoto explained to her about his life.

Mikasa: "(Poor Shoto; I can't imagine how scary it must be for him to go through so much pain like that. My parents were never like that to each other or me, and yet they both died from kidnappers. His life almost sounds just as terrifying as mine. I wonder if there's something way that I can help him.)"

     Soon enough, Jean walked over to check on her.

Jean: "Hey, Mikasa, everything alright?"

Mikasa: "Yeah, it's all good, Jean."

     After that, they both walked back to the rest of the squad and worked on a plan to save Eren and Historia. Hopefully, they'll make it in time and they're not too late.
