Part 6 - escaped

McKenna was just sitting at her old desk , drawing one of her many pictures.

She hummed her favorite song from the Disney movie 'the lion king' ,while focusing on not drawing over any lines she previously had drawn on the paper with care.

The little girl was in her own small world when she suddenly heard commotion going on downstairs.

For a second , she was confused.What was going on there?She didn't know today would be an adoption day.

Although , she had given up on that a long time ago.

Slowly , Kenzie made her way to the door , laying her head against the wood.

"Just upstairs , Mr. Stark.The first door you see is her room." She heard.

Oh oh.

This was not good.

This was not good at ALL.

The Avengers we're here.For her.Did they want to arrest her?Or worse.

With a horrified face , she went to her bed , grabbed her small pink backpack and opened the window.

It wasn't her first time of getting away through it.

For a second she stopped.Was this a smart decision?They would probably not stop 'hunting' her down anytime soon.

The girl shook her head.'No time to think about that.' She thought.

So with that , she climbed out of the window and slid down the gutter.

As soon as she reached the ground , McKenna wasted no time to start running.She sprinted down the road towards the main part of the big city.In a crowd , she wouldn't be easily recognized.

Her plan was till she couldn't anymore and find some place to get something to eat at.

With the avengers .....

"Just upstairs Mr. Stark.The first door you see is her room"

All of the Avengers thanked her.With that , they made there way up to the small girl that had hacked into starks computer system.

"I still can't believe she hacked you"Barton said.

Tony was never gonna hear the end of this.

"Yeah yeah.Lets go get the little monkey and have a word with her."

Arriving at the door , Tony knocked.A few seconds later they still haven't heard anything.

The billionaire looked at this teammates.This was strange.The woman downstairs said she should be in her room.

"Just open it Tony."Said Steve , he was getting impatient.

And so , Tony grabbed the doorknob and opened the old , wooden door.

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

The room was fairly clean , just a few pieces of paper and some crayons seemed out of place.

And of course , the window was opened.

With an annoyed sigh , Tony turned to his team.

Natasha was grinning at him.This was funny to her.They could catch criminals and aliens like it was nothing.But this little girls always seemed a step ahead of them.

"You've got to be kidding me."Said the annoyed man.

Clint couldn't control his laughter anymore.They just got played by a small girl.Again.

"Lets go.We're gonna find this girl.I'm so done."Tony waltzed out of the room , his mood now destroyed.

All the avengers followed him out.With that , they had a new mission.

Find the little monkey and bring her to the Avengers tower.
