Beep Beep... Beep Beep! My alarm whined in my ear and I groaned. I hit the top and it still didn't quiet. I shoved the clock from the nightstand and slammed to the floor. With a jerk, I sat straight up in my bed from the momentary fear of the no broken alarm clock on the floor. My house was still silent as I shoved the covers off and stepped into the bathroom. I had my clothes on the counter for today. I quickly got dressed and threw on a pair of flip flops. With one final check, my footsteps thundered down the stairs and I rushed to the kitchen. I snatched a green apple and took a couple bites before throwing the apple in the sink and rushing out the door. I hurried to my car and turned it on. It started up with a purr and I smiled. "Thank you" I muttered to the car.

I drove in silence while my eyes searched for the school that was only a couple miles down the road. Finally, the school appeared and I turned into its enormous parking lot. My mother had left my parking spot number taped to my dash and I searched for the space. "319..319" I muttered over and over until the parking space number matched my own. With a satisfied sigh I turned into the space and stopped abruptly. "You've got to be kidding" I seethed as I saw the car on the other side had pulled over the line into my space. The kid stepped out of his car and I threw my door open.

"Hey!" I yelled and he turned around. He had black hair and white skin. His skinny body and glasses made me think he spent too much time on the computer, but his sagging pants and chain made him look like he belonged in a gang. His open book bag dangled behind him and I made a face. He raised his eyebrows at me and pursed his lips. "I can't pull into my space" I called and he shrugged. "Sounds like a personal problem to me" He called and I stepped out of the car. "Move your car or I'll move it myself" I said angrily. He smiled and held out his hand. "See how far you get" He replied.

I slammed my door and pulled into the space. I bumped into his car and slowly moved it back. I threw a smirk at him as he rushed over. He slammed his book bag on the ground and rushed to me. "You did not just scratch my car" He said stomping to my window. "Well, if you look, it looks like you hit my car since you're over the line. Try explaining that to an administrator" I said opening my door, nearly knocking him over. "You-" I held up a hand as I pulled out my own book bag. "Don't strain yourself" I said as his face grew red. "You will pay for this" He ground out. "Sounds like a personal problem to me" I said mentally shoving him away. He stumbled back as if I actually pushed him and backed away slowly. I watched him with a confused expression and he turned and hurried off muttering a string of curse words.

Ignoring his profanity, I continued into the school and to the office. After retrieving my schedule, I walked to my first class which was literature. The teacher welcomed me into the class and I sat down in a seat closest to the door. I watched as kids flooded into the room and took their seats with an occasional glance in my direction. Once the bell rang the teacher shut the door and walked to the front of the class. With a smile she informed us that we would be writing an essay of our choosing to show her what we were capable of. I finished my long essay by the time to bell rang and rushed out of class into the overcrowded hallway.

I maneuvered around the teens in the hallway and made my way to French class. The teacher greeted me at the door and pointed to the seating chart on the board. I followed the instructions on where to sit and sat the name Cat by my own. I was taking out a pencil when a blonde haired girl flopped down beside me. She huffed and slammed a binder on the table and I rolled my eyes. Her head snapped in my direction and I gave her a bored expression. "Willing to share or do you want to break the table first?" I asked.  She narrowed her eyes at me, but opened her mouth to speak.
