Stabbed in the... Stomach?

The next morning I woke up about twenty minutes early and went into my bathroom. I did my morning routine. I walked over to my closet after and looked around. I put on white skinny jeans with a grey tank top, my brown sandals, plain soft pink scarf, earrings, and a striped grey sweater. I walked out of my house satisfied.

I drove to school and got out of my car with ease. Kelly greeted me with a smile when I walked into the building and we walked to homeroom. "Yesterday was so much fun!" She said excited. I nodded and we sat down. "Have you seen Johnny? I don't think he is here today!" I heard in the hallway. I listened to their conversation while trying to focus on what Kelly was saying. "He probably got ISS" One girl said. "He totally should have. I thought punching that kid was wrong of him" They walked off and I thought about what could have happened.

"...You know what I mean right?" Kelly asked. I nodded and she went on talking about home work. When the intercom interrupted me thoughts I hadn't notice that the bell had rang. I snatched my things and ran to my next class. I bumped into people but didn't say anything. I was thinking about where my parents were then. I wondered if they were thinking about me. I sat down in my seat and the class started.

The class dragged on but I managed to get a few important things in my head. I watched the clock tick by and when the bell sounded. I walked to the door and the world stopped. Pain radiated from my stomach to my head and I looked into Johnny's cold eyes. "I told you I'd get you" He smirked and dashed down the hallway. I looked down slowly with a sob in my throat. My shaky hand reached down to my stomach.  Just as I thought and feared, I felt the hilt of a knife. I took a step back as the world went into slow motion and tripped again.

I fell backwards into a football player named Cole's arms and he looked down at me. I stared into his eyes then the hilt of the blade. His eyes went wide and the students in class started to scream and panic. I found it hard to breathe then. Cole looked around and put me on the ground and knelt down next to me. "What is going on?" I struggled to say to him. His breathing was rapid but I was in too much pain to see how nervous. I felt a warm blood on my stomach.

People were running in a panic. Cole's eyes were locked on mine and he started to say something. It was all jumbled, but in one fluid motion he picked me up and another football player rushed over. I was in Cole's arms. I felt air rush by my face. "Move! Get out of the way!" The football player was clearing the way to the nurse. I heard screaming and crying behind us as we went but it was all turned down. The pain made me want to end it then.

I was in the nurse's room then and she wiped all of her stuff off the desk and Cole set me down. My eyes never left his. He took the phone and dialed what I assumed was 911. The nurse told him to talk to me as I took in rapid breaths. "How old are you?" He asked. "Sixteen" I choked out. He nodded. "Why is everything so slow?" I asked stupidly. "The ambulance is almost here" He replied. "Am I going to die? How much blood have I lost?" I asked. "They are here" He said and then he was ripped backwards and the emergency response team took over.

They put me on a stretcher and I lost all sense of direction. I watched the lights on the ceiling fly by as they rushed me down the hall. Once I got under control the hard part came.  They had to remove the knife. I screamed in pain and noticed Cole was still there. "Give the wound pressure" The guy in charge said to him. I looked up losing my vision and the last thing I whispered was "Please, don't let me die."

I was sitting on a stool in what looked like a bar with no alcohol. I didn't pay much attention to detail but when I turned around four different small pools were there. People were laughing and talking in them. I felt like I knew them all. The floors and columns by the pools were covered in white tile and the beach was out back. The entire room was lit up because the walls had huge windows to allow light in.
