She sat in front of the dressing table, staring at her reflection in the mirror as the tears flow down her eyes.

She is not looking like a picture perfect bride, who just got married to the love of her life. Her eyes are bloodshot red from crying, all the makeup which was put on her face few hours ago to make her look beautiful is completely gone now, her mascara is messed up, her lips were quivering. She undo her bun letting her hair flow freely along the wind coming from the balcony, she wanted to remove the Sindoor but thought otherwise because she does not want him to get angry and lose control.

She had removed all of her ornaments except the nose ring, which belongs to her mother and the pearl pendent which he had given her, which is now merged with the mangalsutra around her neck. Her dupatta is lying on the floor.

" Main ek Nayi Dulhan ki tarah toh bilkul nahi dikh rahi hu

" Main ek Nayi Dulhan ki tarah toh bilkul nahi dikh rahi hu. Kash aap yahan hote Mumma." (I'm looking nothing like a beautiful newly wedded bride. I wish you were here mom) she said as she held the pearl of the pendent out of habit. A lone tear skipped from her left eye.

She wiped the tear with her hand and her attention went towards the dark mehndi (henna) tattoo on her hand (it's a ritual) . They say dark mehndi stain means your lover, your husband loves you alot. But this cannot be true in her case. She feel like a caged Bird, who's wings were torn off so that even if the cage gets open the bird cannot fly away.

She diverted her attention towards the bed through the mirror, it looked pretty with white silk bedsheet and white rose petals spread across it and in the centre of the bed crimson red roses were put beautifully to make a heart, she can't help but feel an invisible noose around her neck.

Taking a deep breath She tried to relax herself but instantly her nose got filled with the smell of lilies and roses which was probably coming from scented candles lit in the room and dozens on bouquets of lilies decorated across the room, but amidst all this she can also smell his smokey wooden cologne and she can feel her bile rising, she'll throw up if she stays in this room any longer.

Another lone tear fall from her already swallow eyes and she closed them, not allowing anymore tears to escape.

"Nahi yeh sab jhooth hai, yeh sab sach nahi ho sakta bilkul bhi nahi. Yeh-yeh bas ek sapna hai. Haan! Ek bahut bura sapna." (No, this can't be true, it's all just a lie. It's a dream, a really bad dream.) She said to herself as she pinched on her hand making the area bleed, but surprisingly she is not feeling any pain, there's only terror and fear. Yes, fear of him.

Getting up, she made her way towards the balcony and to her surprise it no longer looks the way it used to look before. There were so many plants of blood red roses planted in several pots planted across the balcony, and they were all blooming.

She started to feel suffocated by all this, ofcourse lilies are her favourite but at this moment she despised them, red is her favorite colour but right now it reminds her of the blood and it disgust her.

She ran towards the bathroom and locked herself in there.

Getting out of her wedding attire which was red lehenga choli, she throw away her nose ring and the mangalsutra. Turning on cold shower she sat on the bathroom floor, crying her heart out. The echo of her cries now filling not just the bathroom but the whole room.

He stood outside his room, their room -ready to meet his wife.

All those things which he wanted to do with her, all the love and care which he wanted to give her, he can do all that now, because now she's tied with him for eternity. Yeah! He wanted to feel her body too but that was secondary because first he need to make her understand the love that he has for her is real and not just attraction or lust.

He knocked on the door, when he got no response he sighed but didn't let it destroy his mood. Maybe she's just being shy. Unlocking the door, he entered inside. The whole room is decorated like a bride, her favourite colour and favorite flower were decorated across the whole room.

But his wife is nowhere to be found. Then he heard water running sound.
' Is she inside?' he thought.

He made his way towards the bathroom door and then knocked softly.

" Jaan"(love) he said, but no response.

He knocked again, once twice thrice.

" Jaan, Tum theek ho? Jaawab do." (Love, Are you alright? Answer me.) He asked getting concerned.

" Jaan, Dekho tumhe ander chhupne ki jarurat nahi hai, Okay? Mujhe pata hai ki tum andar ho. Just answer me. Tum theek ho ya nahi?" ( Love, look you don't have to hide inside, okay? I know that you are in there. Just answer me. Are you okay or not?) He asked calmly.

" Teesha, look agar tum iss hi waqt bahar nahi ayi toh main darwaza todhkar khud andar aajauga and I'm not joking. I swear Teesha, don't test my patience." ( Teesha, if you don't come out at this very moment, I'll break the door and will come inside) he said getting frustrated.

But he didn't got any answer getting frustrated, he decided to open the door using keys of the bathroom.

He put the key inside the socket and turned it, unlocking the door.

" Main andar aa raha hu. Abhi bhi tumhare pass mauka hai, come out on your own." (I'm coming inside. You still have a chance, come out on your own) he said, but no reply.

He sighed and opened the door.

The sight in front of his eyes, made the ground disappear beneath his feet.

" TEESHA" He screamed as he ran towards her.

" No. No. No. Jaan, yeh kya kiya tumne." (what have you done, my love) he said as he held unconsciously Teesha in his arms.
