Teesha's eyes were wide open, she contemplates between opening a letter and the box.

'kya ho sakta hai yeh?? Obviously ek letter hai. Par kyun?' she thought, her cheeks were stained with tear marks and her throat felt dry. If she's being honest, her cheek was still stinging afterall he slapped her hard.

Taking a deep breath, She finally decides to open the box first. It obviously looks like a jewellery box. Teesha hesitantly picks it up and opens it.

"What the actual fuck?!" she exclaimed.

The box had a pearl pendant in it.

She picked it up with her fingers, her eyes are now glassy

She picked it up with her fingers, her eyes are now glassy.

"kyun tum yeh sab kar rahe ho? kya prove karna chahate ho? Aur.... main hi kyun?" she said looking at the pearl, his memories were still fresh in her head. How she felt so scared and so helpless, how she can't understand his intentions and how his sudden mood swings and looks were so haunting.

'Doesn't a pearl symbolises purity and innocence, maybe beauty as well. Par mujhse iska kya lena dena? Aur vo iss type ka ladka bhi nahi hai ki usko issab ke bare mein pata ho. Pervert! He is probably playing some game with me. And I'm not going to play by his tune.' She thought to herself.

She put the pendent inside the box and closed it, placing the box on her bed beside her pillow carefully and pick up the letter.

She can't help but love its aesthetic. The envelope was hand made and it looks old, as if someone took a page and soaked it in coffee to make it look like that. Her name was written on it with cursive writing.

'he would never do that.' she scoffed.

She turned it around and It was sealed with wax and when she opened it her nose got filled with the subtle sweet and spicy fragrance.

'lilies?' she exclaimed inwardly.

She carefully placed the envelope beside the jewellery box and opened the letter. She can't help but feel her gut tightening up, as someone who is into old school romance her stomach should be doing cartwheels right now but she can only feel her palms getting colder and colder and sweaty with every passing second . She was unconsciously chewing the inside of her cheek.

She wiped the palm sweat on the bedsheet and then she finally opens the letter. It was written in a beautiful calligraphy with red ink.
