Most of her time spent at work was making one or two coffees for an uber to deliver and then catching up on the Walking Dead with the rest of her time. It was rhythmic, she made Tim's coffee and put it on the delivery counter, made herself a tea, then opened her laptop and started watching people eat each other for fun.

Something's different though tonight, maybe it's that the air is cool and blows from the window, maybe it's the stars that are visible even in the heavily polluted sky, maybe it's the ringing of a bell signaling the uber driver here to bring the rich boy his coffee.

Raquel turns her head to the door expecting to see an exhausted driver just trying to make a living like her but instead sees a boy in sunglasses and a bulky sweatshirt. His hair is fussed with messy black waves and one curls just above his brow.

His body is lean but his arms have that kind of mass only people who work out do. She hates to say it, but she pushes her hair out of her face and tries to make it less messy because wow is he hot.

"Hey, welcome to Starbucks." She says in her cheerful customer service voice.

"Raquel?" The boy asks, taking his sunglasses off and revealing light blue eyes.

She raises an eyebrow, "Hello?"

"I'm Tim." Tim has a sheepish smile but it quickly turns bold when he notices his coffee order already on the counter. He hadn't even ordered one today, "That for me?"

Her fake smile drops and is replaced by one of surprise and excitement. She flings herself from behind the counter and tumbles into him like a bowling ball of black dreads and pink sweatpants.

"Oh my god, I kinda thought I imagined you." Raquel smiles and buries into the crook of his neck, "You smell like coffee and redbull."

He wraps his arms around her tight.

"You smell like shit." Tim teases to which she wacks him across the shoulder.

"You're such an asshole."

He pulls back enough to cup her face, his breath hot on her lips as he asks, "Any chance you'd wanna get coffee sometime?"

"Coffee?" She asks incredulously, "Oh no rich boy I wanna go somewhere fancy."

"Wow, using me for my cash?"

"Of course."

She drags him in by the hoodie strings and connects their lips. A mobile order chimes through but no coffee ever gets made. Tim and Raquel are too busy entangled.

short and sweet like raquel's life <3
