It all started in about two month's ago. Imagine having one of our family members go through an event so embarrassing, it could cost you, you're dignity.
I remember arriving home from school, plopping down on our smooth satin couch, in our nice cool living room. I still had the weight of an elephant pushing down on my chest, from the pain of having my father pass away not so long ago. That uneventful month gave me the new hobby of channel surfing, which is almost never a good sign. I passed through multiple channels as my heart creaked with emptiness and my eyes stung with heartache. Life just felt as if it were missing something, which was the man who loved me and knew me the most. I felt my smooth, soft tears drip emotion as I just lay on the couch.
I finally stopped on the news station, hoping that they'd show a "viral video" of the day that could cheer me up. I slumped down and hugged a fleece pillow as the news icon and music theme popped up. Then it started. The news person started to inform me of the news that would change my social life.
"This is Suzan Crawson coming to you live from the small town Brookeston, where we have earned breaking news upon a hostile who is taking one victim as hostage inside a Starbucks, where a frightened barista called to inform that what could be a terrorist, is torturing who has been identified as Alison Birch, a local citizen. To you, Robert."
I gasped in horror and turned up the TV. That was my mother. It then showed another news cast, standing outside of the Starbucks building, with a police squad.
"Thanks Suzan. Frightened Witnesses confirmed that they identified two business women enjoying a break from work at Starbucks, when they suddenly heard harsh and fowl screaming coming from Alison Birch, where as her co-worker, the one sitting closest to her, was believed to have possibly stabbed her, based on the level of screaming and pain she was in. One witness even recorded that there was red liquid was on her light gown. Here are some witnesses who experienced seeing the event"
They soon brought the camera to a very husky, bulky man.
" Oh, yeah, I saw it all. It all started with a light conversations, then the one terrorist lady bent down, and then the one victim started screaming and blood went on the floor. Yeah"
They then showed a teenage mom in a #Swag T-shirt and her three young kids, yapping on about they're view.
"Yeah Robert. I saw it ALL. I just finished up a pumpkin-spice latte, when I heard that Alison girl started screaming her freakin' head off! Omg, who does she think she is, thinking she can terrorize people and then scream about it? What's wrong with America is people think that when they terrorize people, then feel they're the victims! What is that teaching my kids? That if you're a terrorist, people will feel sorry for ya!"
"I think you're a little mixed up between who's the terrorist, ma'am." Robert whispered to her.
After that, it was about Five minutes of her swearing, and saying she" knows what's goin' on" way better than Robert does and more swearing.
I suddenly felt a faint draft and heard the door close. I soon heard my mother's voice
"I'm home, sweetie! you'll never guess what happened at Starbucks! I-"
My mom didn't have time to finish. I attacked her with a hug and began to cry tears of relief.
"what's going on?" She asked.
"You were attacked by a terrorist! I saw it on the news! Don't try to hide please, just tell me what happened?" I cried.
"Oh, I think you're confused, dear! What's going on? Are you okay?"
I showed her what was on the news and all she did was blush until her whole face was red.
"This is what happened..." She sighed with a touch of embarrassment.
