y/n's POV

I am a kook. And seriously. With all this money, you would have thought we would be able to have some proper fun at parties, but no. This kegger sucks and there is nothing I can do about it. I am sitting around one of the three bonfires with my four best friends. Topper, Rafe, Sarah, and Kelce. We have been here for a good hour and a half. Rafe is high and Topper, Kelce, and Sarah are all drunk. I'm drunk too.

"Let's play truth or dare," Sarah suggests in a slurred voice. I don't really like truth or dare, it's a children's game really, and when 16-year-olds play it, it just leads to them making out or punching someone. "I'm out," I say. I don't want to be part of this game. It will turn into another kook vs pogue fight and I don't want to be a part of that. "You pussy?" Rafe shouts at me. I am right next to him, and I am fairly sure my eardrum just burst because of him. "No, I'm not a fucking pussy Rafe," I shout back, just to be annoying. He winces at the noise; clearly, he doesn't like the taste of his own medicine. "But you are if you won't play," Rafe says in a slightly closer to normal volume voice. "Fine, I'll play," I say, leaving room for my pointless dramatic pause, "But on one condition," cue another dramatic pause... "No punching pogues, or anyone for that matter. In fact, no violence at all. I'm bloody sick of it." Everyone groans, "What?" I say, "It's not unreasonable to want to have one kegger where we don't attack each other," Rafe glares at me, "Fine," he sneers, "but don't expect me to go easy on you for any dares. Or truths for that matter," he's grinning, but I don't know why. I expected him to do his usual evil dares anyway.

Everyone is far more drunk now, Kelce and Topper are now high, Sarah and I are still just drunk, but that's fine. It's a Kegger, so if the cops came down here, I would rather be fined for being drunk than put in prison for being high.

"y/n, truth or dare?" Rafe says. I had forgotten all about my go. "Dare," I say, (Worried since the last truth was the classic 'do you have a crush on anyone' and my answer was unfortunately 'yes' so, I didn't want to have the dreaded truth, 'so who's your crush'.) "I dare you to-" Kelce begins, but Rafe cuts him off, "go and buy me some more coke." Everyone 's jaws drop. Had he really just asked me that? He knows full well that I will never do something like that. "No," I say. There's no way I'm doing that. Ever. "Fine. I double donkey dare you-" Sarah cuts him off "really Rafe, are we in primary school still?" (a/n: really though, I haven't heard someone say double donkey dare since year 6) "I don't care," he said in a child's voice, "I will do whatever I want. I'm the oldest and it's my game so I make up the rules." He was honestly such a child though. Really a double donkey dare. Come on. "I double donkey dare you," he continues, "to go and spend the rest of the night flirting with JJ."

JJ's POV

y/n's walking towards us. As in, the pogues. She's a kook. Why is she walking towards us? She hasn't spoken to us since seventh grade, so you can see why when I look over my shoulder to see everyone else's reaction it is just a mix of shock and horror. But when she comes closer, she doesn't look so happy about it either, she is clearly drunk, no surprise there, but she actually looks pissed off.

"Alright you little shits-," she starts, but I just have to interrupt, what else am I here for after all, "terrific way to start a conversation with people you haven't spoken to in 3 years y/n, but please continue," she is now glowering at me, which, from what I have heard of her in recent years, is not a good sign. "Thank you for interrupting me, JJ, but how would you like me to address you? My royal highnesses? No, my dear emperors and empresses of the pogues. Wow. That has a lovely ring to it," her voice is slurred, yet thick with sarcasm. "Actually yes," I reply, "the last one was perfect. Next time you decide to grace us with your presence please use that," I say.

y/n's POV

Wow, I really have forgotten just how annoying he was, all of the time. Seriously, I know he doesn't want me here, I don't want to be here either, but a dare's a dare, and there is no way I am buying drugs.

"What do you want y/n?" I hear a familiar voice say from behind the bonfire, "Is that the pogue princess Kie or am I kindly mistaken?" I reply, "It's Kiara to you bitch," wow, I knew that would piss her off, but I didn't think she would hate it that much. "Okay, okay, I won't call you that again princess KIARA,"

JJ's POV

"Okay y/n that's enough now," I say, I can see Kie getting up from behind the bonfire, she's doing this just to annoy her, but Kie's falling for it. "Alright, fine," y/n says, clearly annoyed that her fun is over, "why are you here y/n?" Pope asks, you can tell he's being serious because he asked in his completely monotone, serious voice, "I'm here because I have to talk to JJ. Alone," she says, "Sorry," she says seeing me raise my eyebrows at her, "I have to speak to Emperor JJ alone, further down the beach," she says, seeming as if she has a genuine reason to talk to me other than just to screw me over. Before anyone could protest, she clarified, "when I say I need to talk to emperor JJ alone," she says, grinning at me, "I mean alone. John B, Pope, and Kiara, if you are worried the other kooks are going to jump him or some shit, you can look over there, they are still sitting there, high, and completely clueless. Please stay here, I need to have a genuine conversation with JJ alone. I'm really not just being a dick; I swear on my Mum." She says all of this with such honesty, I believe her fully. Later, this may prove to be a stupid this to do, but I really do trust her.

*Time skip: ten minutes later*

y/n's POV

After far more persuading than would have been necessary, I manage to convince the rest of the pogues that JJ will be safe with me for the rest of the night, and that he'll be returned to their precious chateau safely in the morning.
