KNOCK KNOCK

Joyce groaned as she heard the knocking continue. She tried to turn to face away from the noise but a heavy weight was keeping her from doing so. Joyce struggled for a few seconds, trying to remove the heavyweight, thinking she forgot to put away her books and computer when flashes of late last night appeared in her mind.

Heavy panting. Baby blue eyes. The smell of smoke and whiskey. Chief. Strong, muscular arms pinning her down. Jim Hopper.

Joyce gasped softly as her eyes flew open and she saw Jim still sleeping beside her. His arm wrapped tightly around her middle, keeping her close to his side.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Sir? Ma'am? Your breakfast!" Joyce heard a female voice from outside.

"Uh- I- Coming!" Joyce shouted as she softly removed Jim's arm from around her and slipped away from under the covers. She paused when he groaned softly and started to move around but continued to walk away when he stopped, now laying on his back and snoring softly.

She picked up his abandoned shirt from the ground and slipped it on, the hem of the shirt landing mid-thigh, and tried to fix her hair to look presentable before opening the door with a smile on her face.

The female attendant smiled brightly at Joyce.

Joyce smiled, "Hi, sorry but...We didn't order anything yet..."

The female attendant waved her off, "Oh, it's alright, it comes with the cabin." She explained. "We have pancakes, bacon, eggs, and coffee this morning. With a side of fruits or a blueberry muffin."

"Oh!" Joyce exclaimed softly before smiling, "We'll take the side of fruits."

The attendant nodded before placing the plates on a tray and handing it to Joyce with a smile. "You and your husband enjoy!" She said with a happy tone of voice before walking away with her cart.

"Oh, he's not my...Nevermind." Joyce muttered as she closed the door behind her and walked into the cabin, placing the tray onto the coffee table near the window. She looked over at Jim who was still sleeping and asked herself, "What the hell do I do now?"

She looked around the cabin to see their clothes all thrown in different directions. Joyce sighed before starting to clean up their cabin a bit. After she'd folded their clothes and placed them neatly on the table at the foot of the bed. She then grabbed her laptop and decided to continue working on the documents she had been working on the day before.

Joyce grabbed one of the cups of coffee that came with the tray and sat down on an armchair in the corner of the cabin, placing her laptop onto the arm and her coffee cup sitting on the side table.

Almost two hours later, she heard Jim starting to wake up.

His mind still half-asleep, Jim stretched and groaned, reaching his hand out beside him to grab onto the woman he had fallen asleep next to, only to realize there was no one there. Jim opened his eyes and peered around the bed and noticed there was no woman beside him. Sighing, he started to think it was all a dream and started to sit up when he noticed the very brunette he was thinking of, sitting on an armchair with her laptop, staring at him.

"Morning, sleepy head. 'Bout time you woke up, it's getting close to noon." He heard her sweet, sensational voice.

Jim rubbed at his eyes, not believing what he was seeing making Joyce giggle. She stood up, carefully placed her laptop onto the seat of the chair, and moved towards him. Joyce climbed onto the bed and crawled towards him, a smile on her face as she bit her lip.
