As promised, Max drove Jack to his therapy appointment. Jack felt a mix of nerves and apprehension as they pulled up to the building where the therapist's office was located.

"Are you sure about this, Jack?" Max asked, turning to look at him. "If you don't want to do this, we can leave right now."

"No, I want to do this," Jack said firmly, steeling himself. "I need to do this."

Max nodded in understanding and led Jack inside. The therapist's office was quiet and calming, with soft lighting and comfortable chairs.

Jack met with the therapist for an hour, pouring out his emotions and feelings about the accident that had taken Tommy's life. He spoke about the guilt he felt, the nightmares he had, and the constant barrage of hate that he had been facing online.

The therapist listened carefully, nodding and asking questions when necessary. He helped Jack to identify his negative thought patterns and to reframe his perspective on the accident.

At the end of the session, Jack felt a sense of relief and clarity that he hadn't experienced in a long time. He thanked the therapist and left the office, feeling more optimistic about the future.

Max was waiting outside in the car, looking concerned.

"How was it?" he asked.

"It was good," Jack said, surprising himself with the honesty of his answer. "It was really good. I think it's something I need to keep doing."

Max nodded in agreement. "I'm glad to hear that," he said. "And if you ever need anything, just let me know. I'm here for you."

Over the next few days, Jack continued to attend therapy sessions with his therapist. He found that each session brought him a little more peace and clarity, and he was grateful for the support that Max had provided in helping him find a therapist.

Despite this, the online hate towards Jack continued to escalate. The hashtag #JackManifoldNeg was still trending on Twitter, and he received countless messages of hate and vitriol every day. He tried his best to ignore it, but it was hard.

Max continued to be a source of support for Jack during this difficult time. He checked in on him regularly, offering words of encouragement and just being there to talk. Jack was grateful for his presence, and he knew that he wouldn't have been able to get through this without him.

One day, as Jack was scrolling through his Twitter feed, he noticed a message from someone he didn't know. The message read: "I lost my brother in a car accident a few years ago. I know how it feels to carry that guilt and pain around with you. You're not alone, and you're not a monster."

Jack felt a lump form in his throat as he read the message. It was the first message of support he had received in weeks, and it meant more to him than he could express.

Over time, the hate towards Jack began to die down. People moved on to the next big scandal, and Jack was left to pick up the pieces of his life. It was a slow and difficult process, but with the support of Max and his therapist, Jack began to heal.

Eventually, he found the strength to return to streaming. He started small, just a few hours a day, but over time he worked his way back up to his old schedule. He still thought about Tommy every day, but he knew that he couldn't let the accident define him. He had to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
