It was Valentines Day and here I was, one hand holding my clutch and another pulling my cardigan shut. I was waiting outside of the restaurant where I was supposed to meet my date. Some entry level, Department of Magical Transportation employee, had asked me out and I felt so pathetic in the moment that I had said yes. I was now instantly regretting it as I stood in a black turtle neck and skirt, pink cardigan, red stockings, Dr.Martins with red laces, and red and gold jewelry. The cold breeze making my shiver as it travels up my skirt and through my body.

I looked left and right once again, only seeing the other restaurant patrons, who were on their dates, staring at me with either an odd look or a look of sympathy. The current hostess looks up at me again, when she catches my eye she gives me a sad smile. We break eye contact as she grabs menus and leads another couple inside the cozy restaurant. I sigh in defeat and acknowledge that he probably wasn't going to show.

I started to walk away, out from under the the restaurant's awning and down the block so I could call a cab. The farther down the street I got, it somehow got colder. As I turned to face the street I pulled out my phone to make the call. I typed up the number, my fingers sounding suddenly louder while tapping against the screen.

Just as my thumb is about to hit call a car speeds in front of me before screeching to a halt, causing me to jump in confusion, away from the curb to avoid being splashed. I get a better look at the vehicle, a limo, the back window roles down to reveal Cedric Diggory.

Of course it was Cedric Fucking Diggory. He had a shit eating grin on his face. Leaning over the seats to get a better look at me.

"What's a pretty little thing like you standing out here all alone", he asks, his tongue in his cheek.

I scoff, "What do you want Cedric".

There's the sound of thunder in the sky and he just looks at me ignoring the question, "It would be a shame if your pretty outfit were to get ruined", he raises a brow, "You should get a ride".

I hum and sarcastically respond, "Mhm, and where am I supposed to get that".

I hear the door click as he pushes it open, leaning back into his seat, "In here preferably".

"I'm good, thanks though", I give him a fake smile and look back at my phone.

I expected the car to drive away but there it remained, Cedric still with that playful expression that was masking his true intentions.

"Get in Princess, I was going to get you anyway", he pats the seat next to him, he notices my hesitance, "I don't bite", he adds with a cocky smirk.

The seat he was patting was adorned with rose petals or all shades, from white to red, pink, magenta.

I remain silent before making a decision in my mind, "I'd rather not", I go to turn away and walk back towards the restaurant to be able to call a cab but him voice stops me.

"Get in the car, Y/N", his voice his stern and when I turn back, his face is no longer playful, it's serious.

We hold each other's gaze a second longer before I start my way back towards the car and climb into the seat next to him as I reach for the seat belt, Cedric's arm wraps around me and pulls me in to his chest.
