Greyson booked conjoining rooms at a Holiday Inn and he and Gena both settled into their respective rooms. Greyson was pacing his room, his body filled with pent up energy and his mate's scent seeping through the door that connected their rooms. He was no longer tired, he was feeling energized but had nowhere to go with it. Clyde was restlessly pacing in his head, demanding to be let out so he could mark his mate.
"We have to be patient. Can you even mark a vampire?" Greyson grumbled.
"Let's find out." Clyde barked.
"Let's not. Not right now, at least." Greyson rolled his eyes at his overly eager wolf.
"Screw it." Greyson mumbled before stomping over to the conjoining door and yanking it open.
He was faced with another door and sighed.
"Story of my life." He grumbled sarcastically to himself.
He knocked on the door,
"Gena?"
A few seconds later he heard her side of the door opening and then the lock to the conjoining door rattled as she pulled the chain out. The door opened and Gena's face appeared in front of him.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Greyson smirked.
"No, you didn't. What do you want?" Gena sighed, sounding annoyed. Greyson chuckled at her,
"I was missing you." He shrugged.
"You are a nutcase." Gena grumbled but she couldn't help the small smile that played on her lips.
"May I come in?" Greyson asked and Gena rolled her eyes but stepped to the side anyway.
Gena walked through her hotel room with Greyson behind her. She sat on the edge of the bed and watched Greyson closely, waiting to see what he was going to do next. He leaned against the small desk in the room and crossed his arms over his chest, studying Gena closely.
"Clyde and I were wondering about something." Greyson said,
"Yes?"
"Can vampires be marked by werewolves?" Greyson tried to sound casual but Gena saw right through him.
"Oh, you were wondering, were you?" She teased him.
Greyson pushed off the desk and stalked towards Gena with a mischievous look in his eyes. He put his hands down on the bed on either side of Gena's body, leaning forward so they were eye to eye.
"I want to know if I can make my beautiful mate mine when she finally asks for it." He purred. Gena gulped, a lump forming in her throat.
"Yes." She whispered.
"Yes what, princess?" Greyson chuckled.
"Yes a werewolf can mark his vampire mate just as a vampire can mark her werewolf mate." She gave herself away when she said her.
"Oh, her werewolf mate, is it?" Greyson teased, leaning down to rub his nose against her neck.
"Destiny speaking, yes." Gena tried to recover from her faux pas but it was no use, she was already exposed.
"You are my destiny, princess." Greyson declared as he brought his face away from her neck; their lips were only inches apart now.
Gena sucked in a breath of air as she studied Greyson's eyes. They were glistening silver and green but black was threatening to take over his irises. He was consumed by something but Gena couldn't tell what it was.
