We both sat on the couch on opposite sides not looking at one another. It was silent till I started talking. "Shawn, I don't know what happened two weeks ago. Why did you kiss me?" said, not looking at him once. Shawn sighed "Tori, I kissed because I..... I honestly have no idea and I'm not entirely sure why I did it. If I knew I'd tell you." He say. "I think I'm in love with you" I say very quietly, all Shawn heard was a mumble. "What did you say Tori?" He asked. "Nothing" he didn't look convinced but let it go. After a while of sitting in silence, I started to think about the day that I had a panic attack and how it was caused by a word I heard on the tv. Thinking about it started to cause me to have another attack. I started crying and I felt like the walls were closing in. My mind wouldn't stop thinking about the things Corbyn said to me. I had tears running down my face. Shawn came over and hugged me. He told me to breathe and said "I know something that will calm you down fast. It's called the 54321 ground method." All I did was nod my head as my panic attack continued. "Name five things that you can see in the room" he says, I take a deep breathe "the tv, your guitar, my shoes, a rubix cube, a vase of dead flowers" I say very slowly. "Good. Name four things you can feel" he says as he rubs circles on my back. I take another deep breathe. "The floor, the couch, you, the coffee table" I say slowly and I notice I'm starting to calm down faster then I normally do. "Good. Name three things you can hear" he says as he pulls me closer to him and I lay my head on his chest. I take another deep breathe. "Your heart beat, birds chirping, and the people upstairs walking around" I start to calm down even more and I feel so happy that he's here with me. "Good. Name two things that you can smell" he says and I breathe "your cologne, the vanilla candle on the counter" I say slowly but a bit faster then the other times. "Good. Lastly name one thing you can taste" I breathe one more time and say "Oranges" he smiles at me and I hug him back. I felt so safe in his arms and I never wanted to leave them. We hugged each other till, we started to talk again. Shawn promised to always be there for me. We watched a movie and ordered take out. It was really nice being with someone who I know won't hurt me.
I knew in that moment that I was starting to fall in love with Shawn.
