Atlas Black PoV:Atlas thought the woman coming to see him looked rather strange. She wore green robes, a pointed hat and her hair was pulled up in a strict bun.
But Atlas followed her nonetheless. He assumed it was a therapist of some sort.
A strange therapist, but a therapist nonetheless.
He'd been called in to see a lot of professionals. Together they'd manage to conclude that he Tourette's, but that hadn't been the answer they were looking for. They wanted to know why he kept disappearing and why he could revive dead plants.
To that the doctors had said Atlas was simply a strange boy.
Atlas knew he was more than strange. There was something supernatural about him, he knew there had to.
Lately, he'd been practising these abilities.
The woman opened a door and they entered a room with no people.
The room itself was ok. The room was old and probably hadn't been renovated since the 60's.
It was like that with most of the rooms in the orphanage. Old, cold and very unwelcoming.
Atlas sat down on a couch that was in the middle of the room, A creeping itch made its way from his spine to his neck which resulted in it being jerked to the side.
"Sorry," Atlas said. More out of habit than politeness.
"No need," Said the woman in green. "My name is professor McGonagall. I wanted to let you know you've been accepted into hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry."
Atlas's brain almost stopped working. Witchcraft and wizardry?
So he truly was magical? And all the strange things that happened is really magic?
And there is a school for it? He focused on this part the most.
"There's a school for magic?"
McGonagall nodded, "Yes,"
"And I am magical?" He asked as another tic came onto him. He made an involuntary grunt, but didn't bother to apologise this time.
"Yes, you are. So were your parents," McGonagall explained.
Atlas stomach turned at the mention of his parents. He remembered vividly the story of how his father had left him at the orphanage at four months. How he hadn't left a note or message for him.
He also remembered the story of how he got himself thrown in prison shortly after.
He tried to ward the thoughts about his father away for the time being and focus on the conversation.
"Cool," Atlas said. "Always knew there was something about me,"
"So did your peers. Or more like— do." McGonagall sternly.
"Wait- ugh-" he ticed in the middle of his sentence than he started again. "Is there a problem with that?"
"It's against the law. Thankfully, they just think you are strange. But if you keep showing off after you start at Hogwarts you will be breaking the law and expelled." McGonagall said.
