A/N: Sorry for the sloppy writing. I wrote most of this when I was sleep deprived and running on two cups of coffee. I tried to edit some of it tho. Yes, the last name usage is on propose. 😜🤌
Atlas PoV
The classes passed by normally those next few weeks. Atlas found himself becoming more and more immersed in the pages of his notebook.
He whispered the spells under his breath, trying to nail down the exact pronunciation.
A few weeks before his father had attacked. Atlas wasn't sure how to feel. For one he felt angry at his dad for well, everything. But he also wanted to meet him.
He wanted to know more about his father. Some part of him was buried very deep down, he wished to speak with his father.
Atlas tried not to think about this as he headed to defense against the dark arts.
At least Lupin will be there, Atlas thought.
He entered the room and sat beside a Hufflepuff girl. His hand twitched slightly and the Hufflepuff pulled away from him.
Atlas waited for Lupin, but he didn't come. Instead, a man with greasy black hair, long black robes, and a hooked nose strutted into the room.
Professor Snape is one of Atlas' least gavotte teachers.
He shut the curtains with magic dramatically and stood in front of the entire class.
"Turn to page 394," Snape said. Collectively, people opened their books and looked for page 394.
Atlas muttered a quick spell to find it for him.
"Where is professor Lupin?" Harry asked.
"Your professor is sick today,"
Sick? That's unfortunate, Atlas thought.
Atlas's head jerked to the side and he sighed in annoyance.
"Sixteen points from Gryffindor Mr. Black for being a disturbance to the class," Snape said curtly.
Ron snickered from the other side of the room, he stopped laughing when Snape took ten points from him as well.
"Now, who can tell me the difference between an animagus and a werewolf?"
Both his and Grangers' hand shot up into the air. Snape looked over the class, "Nobody?"
"The difference is that an animagus chooses to become an animal while the werewolf has no choice," Hermione explained.
"Ten minutes from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know it," Snape drawled.
But you asked? Atlas thought.
Ron seemed to think the same because he spoke up too. This landed him another ten points from Gryffindor.
Atlas started reading the book. Despite his not having touched this subject before, he found it fascinating.
'The Werewolf is a creature that transforms on the full moon...' the farther he got, the stranger he felt.
'On the full moon...' he pondered over this part.
The full moon had been yesterday.
Interesting.

Atlas was doing his homework when he understood it.
Lupin was sick. Yesterday was the full moon. Snape wanted us to know about werewolves
Maybe, Lupin was a werewolf?

Atlas has planned to eat dinner alone that day. Unfortunately, a certain frizzy-haired girl and her friends made sure that wasn't possible.
Weasley, Potter, and Granger sat down beside him at dinner.
"We're sorry about what Snape said today. He's a proper twat," The redhead said.
"Mhm. Yeah," Atlas said as he munched at his food.
The food was warm and Atlas almost spat it out.
"Also—" Granger nudged Wealsey to complete his sentence "I'm sorry for asking if you were jinxed,"
"Thank you," Atlas said.
Weasley smiled.
They continued to eat and Potter started talking about how he wished he could go to Hogsmeade.
"Don't be so dramatic Harry," Granger said. "You're not missing out."
"I don't think he's being dramatic," he said. "I wish I could go to Hogsmeade too."
"You're not?" asked Weasley.
Atlas nodded.
"Why?"
"Couldn't get the directress to sign," Atlas explained half-heartedly. He didn't bother to explain that he also didn't ask.
"Oh, that's unfortunate."
