Artemis laid in her bed, in her cupboard. She hated it, her body felt nothing but pain, she always hated how Dudley was doted on more than her. Anything he does that isn't right, she's blamed and left with bruises or cuts.

She felt nothing for these people. Her mind was warping, thinking up such dark things. She wanted to kill them, she wanted them to suffer. She got up slowly.

Looking upon the cupboard door, she opened the door slightly, peeking out to see if anyone was out of their room right now.

She knew what she wanted. She wanted to test something, she walked out of the house, seeing that it was raining. She stepped out into it, not caring about the thunderstorm.

She walked to the rose bushes. Picking a rose from there, she felt the stab of the thorns and her fingers bleeding. She smelt the rose, "you are such a beauty, I wish I could keep you forever, perhaps you remind me of the past, when everything was beautiful."

Though she was three she was very intelligent, memorising words and their meanings quicker than her cousin. She felt him come nearby her, "hello Tom."

He floated around her, "isn't it late? Shouldn't you be asleep?" She told him, "I couldn't sleep, those thoughts drive me mad."

He chuckled, "sometimes it's better to let it out in a good way, such as hanging a teddy bear from its neck?" She shook her head, "you are weird Tom." He confessed, "I am, but that's only because I was placed with disgusting muggles like you have. I have violent tendencies, it can tend to be very dangerous to be around me."

He floated around her. She looked away, "you were dangerous?" He nodded, "yes, and...I may or may not have tried to kill you over a prophecy?"

She turned to him, glaring at him, "oh? You tried to kill me before?" He gulped, "y-yes?" She ran after him, he made himself disappear.

He knew to never anger Artemis, she has the ability to touch him, so he knew she could kind of strangle him, she has done it before.

She hissed, "motherfucker, you're lucky that you can hide there!" She turned back to the rose, which she saw a golden mist floating around it in the form of a dragon.

She smiled softly, he was here, watching over her yet again. The dragon flew past her ear, she turned to it, seeing a man with strawberry blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. (My own headcanon of Arthur)

She bowed, "my liege." He chuckled, "Artemis, you don't have to bow and call me that, I'm no longer alive." He ruffled her hair. She chuckled with him.

He took the rose from her hand, holding it carefully, "you've hurt yourself!" He noticed the blood on the rose. He looked at her hand, seeing the blood flowing from the wound.

She complained, "I'm fine!" He shook his head, "Artemis, you need to be careful, the wizarding world values your life, especially the dark families if they learn that you are abused. How would they feel if you die?"

She retorted, "the light families would be sad, the dark families would be joyful, and the light has been using me. Why should I trust them?"

Arthur sighed, "listen, not only does me, Merlin, and Tom value your life, but as do every spirit, dark and light." She looked down ashamed, she felt the urge to cry, "hey hey hey, there's no need to cry, we truly just want you to be careful."

She nodded, walking into 4 Privet Drive. She looked around, she decided upon it, she flicked a flame onto her finger, Arthur followed behind her, he had an idea what she was about to do.

He shook his head, knowing she'd be the first dark lady, one that quite possibly could rule the world. She was about ready to set the flames upon the house when she felt a shock of pain course through her body.

Arthur came to her side, Merlin and Tom following closely behind. She didn't let herself scream in pain, she knew one thing in this house, don't scream or nothing but pain will come.

The three began comforting her with their words. Slowly, her body changed. Dark red wings came out of her back and a symbol tattooed itself upon her chest, starting with the centre being the deathly hallows symbol with a bigger triangle and circle surrounding it.

One of her eyes changed into a golden colour while the other stayed its green colour, well actually, it darkened a little. She got up, Merlin mumbled, "the tragedy of being placed with abusive muggles must've made her gain her inheritance extremely early."

She let out a lot of fire around her and ran off, hoping that nobody would find out about her inheritance or the fact she could speak to the dead.

A few hours later...

Dumbledore was alerted about what had happened at the Dursleys, he was very concerned. His weapon shouldn't have had this happen, she should still be alive, unless that mutt had lost his godfather connection with her.

It was infuriating, she will be working to kill Voldemort! If she's dead, how will she be able to do that?! If Voldemort comes back the wizarding world will be doomed!

He will make sure she is found if she is still alive. That pathetic squib didn't see anything happen, he'll have to work harder to find a way to destroy Voldemort with or without her.

This is all for the greater good, right? Voldemort and the dark wizards are evil and should be treated as such! When he first heard the alert, he was in a meeting with the Order of the Phoenix to disband it for now, well until the return of Voldemort.

Hope was getting the training she needed for when she had to get to Hogwarts...though she's too weak, she doesn't have the power to actually defeat the dark lord.

He was irritated, he looked upon his Phoenix, Fawkes. He petted his feathers, "we have to be careful, with the weapon gone, we won't survive." Fawkes cawed angrily at him.

Dumbledore was more irritated, "what? Do you think I'm not right?" He grabbed the Phoenix by his throat, slamming his head against the wall until he felt relief.

Fawkes was slightly bleeding from his head, he sat back on his perch, sometimes he just wished he could be set free. If only...
