Ch.7 Beginning of the End

In The Past (3-4 Years At Best)

A jeweller was robbed. a little bit later a Cinder was standing in front of an Emerald. Cinder smirked and asked, "How did you do that?" Emerald looked around for an escape.

Emerald went for her guns and Cinder said "Don't."

Emerald glared at Cinder.

Cinder then said, "Unless, of course, you want them to hear you."

Emerald's hands distanced themselves from the handles of her guns.

A jeweller in the distance said, "Where'd she go?"

Emerald harshly asked, "What do you want?!"

Cinder then said "I've already told you. And I don't like repeating myself."

Emerald then harshly said, "I didn't do anything, just leave me alone!"

Cinder continued to smirk as she said "I know my fair share of liars and thieves. Stealing is an art of patience, coordination, and in a pinch, sleight of hand. But you didn't steal that ring in your pocket. You took it right before the jeweller's eyes. And he smiled."

Emerald's eye's widened and she asked "Who are you?"

Multiple Places At Unspecified Times & Locations

Cinder said, "You will question everything you know."

Emerald said, "This is impossible!"

Cinder said, "I wish to take you on as an associate."

A Man said, "He lives in the mountains with his sun."

Cinder said, "Follow me, and you'll never be hungry again."

Emerald kindly said, "Thank you..."

Sometime Later

A house was on fire and Mercury was breathing heavily and his legs were shaking as he was looking at Cinder and Emerald.

Mercury harshly asked, "What are you looking at?!"

Cinder then said, "I'm looking for Marcus Black."

Mercury spit on the ground and said "There you go."

He gestured his hand for them to look at the body on the ground. Cinder and Emerald looked at the body.

Emerald questionably asked, "That's the assassin?"

Cinder looked at Mercury and asked, "And you're his son?"

Mercury didn't say anything.

Cinder then said "We saw your fight from the treeline. He's taught you well."

Mercury said, "Guess so."

Cinder smirked and asked, "What's your name?"

Mercury said "Mercury."

Cinder then said "Mercury. Tell me. Are you anything like your father?"

Mercury asked, "So what's in it for me?"

Emerald said, "We don't need him!"

Everything was going the sound of Emerald being slapped could be heard.

Cinder harshly said, "Do NOT mistake your place."
