Julius was directed by Henge and Copperfield to the arena, which unfolds into one large arena instead of four sectioned off duel courts. Julius smiles a bit as he makes his way. This is what the academy sees as punishment? He's more than ready for whatever is set up for him to take on. He pulls out his deck, covered in dark blue sleeves. Once given his disk he slams it in and almost draws his five cards.

"Now hold on, student." A voice calls from the other side of the room. Slowly a man walking forward. He has a pitch black uniform, with golden accents on it, and a pair of white dress pants. He has black dress shoes that have golden buckles on it. In lieu of a duel disk he has what looks like some kind of blue spherical tablet with a deck and grave slot on it. His orange hair in a fauxhawk, and his grey eyes having bags under them from how much he works. "So, you're our little troublemaker late student. You're lucky the school council believes you deserve a chance. But. I am here to put all of those foolish thoughts aside."

"I told you already, car wouldn't start, and someone locked the front gate early." Julius states, not really wanting to be told all this stuff that happened to him was his fault. "I'm lucky track got me this far!"

"I don't want to hear excuses! Duel Disk - Activate!" His eyes flare up with red for a moment as slowly, light forms from a slot that opens up at the bottom of the tablet, creating the zones needed out of pure hologram energy.

"Whoa. How do you get a duel disk like that?" Julius questions. This whole technology is alien to him.

"Well you must reach a master's level in at least one form of dueling. Allow me to show you." Mercury smirks. Having already set the perfect hand. "I begin by playing Trade-In! This card allows me to discard a monster whose level is 8 or higher, to draw 1 card. Next I play monster reborn! I revive my discarded Cosmo Queen!" A hole opens up right in front of Mercury, the Queen rising from within (ATK 2900/DEF 2450). "My queen is an impressive monster, but she will simply not do for this lesson. I now use White Elephant's Gift, to send her away again, and draw two more cards! Finally. I'll set one card. And end my turn."

"Then I draw!" Julius looks at his hand for a moment. Surface, Submerge, Fish Sonar, Abyss Soldier, Water Double, and Tornado Wall. He smirks to himself as he feels a sort of advantage right now. "I am gonna start by summoning my Abyss Soldier! This guy's gonna trounce you!" A wall of water erupts from the ground, the whale warrior letting out a loud groan as it stands in place (ATK 1800/DEF 1300). "My Soldier can discard a water monster, to return one card to your hand!"

"As you do, I chain the card. Mystical Ritual Arts! Both players can add 1 Ritual Spell from their deck to their hands! Unfortunately for you. I doubt someone on your level even knows what a Ritual is!" He takes his own ritual spell.

"Actually teach, I happen to have one of those!" He smirks as he reveals Turtle Oath and puts it in his hand. "Next. I use my Surface card! This revives one level 3 or lower fish, aqua, or sea-serpent from my grave! I choose the card I discarded. Water Double! When summoned, Water Double becomes an exact double of one monster I control. And I choose Abyss Soldier!" Shapeless water rises from the ground, swirling and becoming an Abyss Soldier. "Now go my monsters! Attack directly!"

"Just hold it right there. I have a card from my hand I can activate. I discard the monster Ritual Chandelier. When I am attacked, I can discard it to ritual summon, as long as I have the right monster and the right spell in my hand. This spell however acts as a functional ritual for any monster! I use Advance Ritual Art! So I can send normal monsters to the grave to ritual summon this monster! My Alchemy Body - Mercury the Destroyer!" As the ritual occurs on field, the summoning circle turns orange. Slowly a silver blob takes shape, disguising itself as a knight (ATK 1000/DEF 1000).
