When everyone was finally gone, It was only Azrael and I left. He stood awkwardly in front of me, a good distance between us. Walking close to him, he straightened himself out, like a dog when you greet them. When I was close enough, I slapped him across his face.
A red hand print now evident on his pale skin. He looked at me, his hand rubbing the cheek that I slapped. His eyes were sad. He didn't look just a little mad that I slapped him, no, he looked like he knew he deserved it and I hated that.
I punched him on his shoulder then on his chest. He stood there taking the hits. I kept going. His chest. Arm. stomach. Chest. Chest. Chest.... I fell to the ground, my tears falling in front of me. I wanted to be mad at him. I should be mad. Just like how all my friends are. But what was holding me back.
I felt his cold hand on my back, rubbing up and down. He held me in his arms and I tried to push him away. I tried to push him as far away from me as I could, but he kept getting closer. I didn't have any strength left so I just stayed there, crying like a child. He didn't say anything and I'm glad he didn't. I don't know what I would do if he spoke.

"We have to get in there and kick his ass." Winona spoke. I looked at her and spoke, "Don't even think about it. She said she can handle it, so let her."
"But Alaina-"
"No. End of story. I trust her...and I think you guys should too."

After some time, I got up and wiped my face. He also got up and dusted himself off. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it. Doing that a few times until I got mad and decided to say something. "I'll trust you. But, stay away from me for now."
"You're still letting me go?" He asked, hope was clear in the way he spoke. "That's what you wanted me to do right? Just stay behind the group and watch our rear." I dusted myself off a bit more before I looked at him. He was smiling wide but quickly stopped when we met eyes. I blinked a couple times before clearing my throat, "Let's get to the others. They must still be waiting." I started to walk to open the door before my wrist was grabbed and I was pulled in front of him.
"Oh hello. What are you-" My sentence was cut off as Azraels lips met mine. I stood there shocked, not knowing what to do. He stepped back and cleared his throat. "Yeah, let's go." He licked his lips and left through the door.
Subconciously my hand went up to my face and I slapped my mouth. What...the actual...fuck.
