Capítulo Treinta Y Dos

Isabel POV

"Stephano, there's something we want to tell you," Aiyan said, smiling.

She glanced at me then turned her gaze back to Stephano who seems perplexed momentarily.

"What is it, miss?" He asked.

"Isabel is officially my girlfriend." She announced happily.

I bit my lower lip to suppress a stupid grin. I can't help but smile the entire time. It was something of a surreal moment.

"Oh, wow! That's terrific!" Stephano exclaimed gleefully. "Congratulations, miss!"

Yumakap si Aiyan sa kanya sa sobrang tuwang nararamdaman. I can clearly see how close they are. Binati din ako ng yakap ni Stephano.

"I'll tell you everything when I get back." Sabi ni Aiyan sa kanya.

Hawak ni Aiyan ang kamay ko habang patungo kami sa driveway. Ihahatid niya ako sa Casa De Llobos. Ipina-drive niya sa isa sa mga guards niya ang dala kong sasakyan at sa kotse niya ako sumakay.

We were both smiling the whole trip. Still, I can't believe this thing happened between us. That this kind of pure bliss is possible. That love and so much happiness interlink with each other. That the presence of love can indicate happiness in life. 

They say that love and happiness are sometimes interchangeable. True love is fabled to be extremely difficult to come or to be found, but here I am... in love with the person I thought I would never love.

Aiyan took my hand suddenly and kissed my knuckle. She's smiling like a mad woman. I couldn't help but laugh softly.

"You're smiling like a fool," I commented.

"Still, I could not believe it." Saad niya habang pinagpapalipat-lipat ang tingin sa akin at sa kalsada. Ngunit tumigil siya sandali ng mag-red ang traffic lights. "I love you, Isabel."

'Yong puso ko parang nawala na sa tamang puwesto. She didn't say those words earlier. This is the first time I have heard this from her and - argh! The butterflies in my stomach are freaking out!

Napayakap ako sa kanyang braso, at itinago doon ang mukha ko. "I love you back." And whispered those words then shut my eyes hard after. I bit my lower as well to suppress a stupid grin.

My gosh, what is happening?!

Narinig ko ang mahina niyang pagtawa pagkatapos. Naramdaman ko rin ang pagkintal niya ng halik sa ulo ko bago ulit siya nagsimulang mag-drive. I stayed in this position until we got to the Casa De Llobos.

"Kinakabahan ako." Sabi niya ng makababa kami ng sasakyan at magkahawak-kamay na papasok sa loob ng bahay.

"Don't be," I assured her. "Mama is a very understanding and accepting person," I added.

Napahawak siya sa kanyang dibdib saka marahang minasahe ito. Halata nga ang kaba sa kanyang mukha.

"Let's go." She breathes out.

Napangiti ako sa kanya saka sabay ng pumasok sa loob ng bahay. Nakarinig kami ng ingay sa pinto patungo sa dining room. Nasa loob na silang lahat.

Binati ko si mama ng halik sa pisngi ng makapasok kami sa loob ng dining room at makalapit dito.

"Good evening, Mrs. De Llobos." Magalang na bati ni Aiyan kay mama.

"Magandang gabi rin." Nakangiting balik bati ni mama. "Halina rin kayo at maghapunan." Sabay mosyon na umupo na kami ni Aiyan.
