"Let me seeeeeeee! I wanna know who it is!"
Kai looks at you with big eyes to try and persuade you, but you don't sway. Your cheeks do flush slightly pink though. Then he tries the fuckboy face. You quietly say no as you go red. You put your hood up so that the class doesn't see you, and continue painting.
"Awwww boulder-brain is embarrassed! C'mon though. I wanna know."
You look him in his beautiful reddish-brown eyes and then say:
"Ha. Like I'll ever show you, hotshot."
"Fine. But you could use a break from painting."
"Wanna go to the bathroom?" ~Trust me on this lol~
~Time skip - like 2 minutes~
You open the door and lean on the wall as Kai walks in, a few minutes later to not be suspicious.
"So, what did you wanna talk abo-"
You cut him off by pressing your lips on his, and you push him against the wall. He goes bright red when you open your eyes and lean back, then he pulls you back by your waist and you lean in, kissing him intensely. He matches your passion, and your head is filled with love for Kai.
You hear the door creak and Jay walks in, and he just stands there like this 🧍♂️ as Kai opens his eyes (because you stopped kissing him). Jay looks him in the eye and just says:
"Well I'll leave you guys to it then, I was just here cuz I needed a break from my history lesson."
And with that he walks back out. There was about half a second after the door shut before Kai starts kissing you again.
~Idk how to write kissing scenes bc I've never kissed anyone hehe~
You're unlocking the front door of your apartment when Kai opens it. He grabs your hand and pulls you over to the couch. Your prom outfits are laid out on it, and you suddenly remember that prom was tonight. And you forgot to have the surprise ready by tonight.
"Oh shit it's prom night. I completely forgot!"
You rush to the bedroom to unpack your rucksack and put the painting on the floor while you set up your easel and your paints. You shout to Kai to find something to do while you get his surprise ready. You quickly finish your painting of him, but then you add a little spark in his eyes. You pack all your stuff away and put it in your art drawer, and then stand up and walk over to Kai, who was sitting at the table.
"Close your eyes and hold out your hands Kai."
"Okay? Is this the surprise?"
"Yea."
You place the painting in his hands and quickly get out your phone to record his reaction.
"You can open your eyes now."
Kai opens his eyes and gasps as he sees that you painted him for your art project.
"You painted me?? For art?"
"Well yeah, who else would I have done? Jay?"
Your conversation is cut short by your alarm going off, signalling that you both need to get ready for prom. You quickly grab your suit and hide your grin as you remember that Kai's going to wear a dress, then your face falls as you remember that you're going to come out to the whole school... In your head you start to think negatively, then think 'fuck it' and just ignored it. You get changed and put your shoes on, and then Kai walked out of the bathroom.
You're speechless as you take in Kai, looking stunning in his red dress. He walks over to you as you blush a deep shade of crimson.
"So. How do I look?"
"A- Amazing..."

You guys arrive at Ninjago High School as students are piling into the huge hall. You silently pray that your watch won't go off at all, which would ruin the night. As you walk over to the door way, you see Jay and Nya, looking stylish as ever, walking up the steps. You get into the hall with Kai with some whispers, and then the music starts playing. It starts with something slow, Cafe 1930, and it slowly gets quicker.

"Cole."
"Yea Kai?"
"Wanna go to the bathroom again?"
"Mhm"
You guys run through the halls of the school, giggling at some students near the hall, and then into the bathroom again. Kai quickly pushes you against the wall, and with all his love kisses you.
~Time skip~
You both get home at 2am, after the prom/disco (the vibe was very energetic). You get changed and go to bed, and you end up sleeping for a long time. You open your eyes to see Kai trying to wake you up, while quoting a meme.
"Gromit! Wake up Gromit! Come on Gromit we've go to hide the body! There's no cheese and crackers in prison Gromit, now come on!
Who will they believe? A man, or his dog? They don't allow dogs in prison gromit! They'll put you down. Now come on!"
You wake up startled as you process what Kai was saying, then you hear the police sirens getting louder.
"Ugh Kai why did you wake me up so early? Just five more minutes..."
"Cole. It's literally 1pm. You've been asleep for half the day."
"Fine I'll get up."
~And that's all for that chapter, sorry about the length being less than usual.
