Destiney POV

The ringing of the doorbell distracts me a little from making my important calls. As quickly as I could, I arranged all items that were on display back into the safe. I look into the mirror in the bathroom to ensure that my wig and contacts were in place. Slowly after, I walked towards my broken-down sofa to get my nine-millimeter pistol and later brace my back towards the door. I waited there to see if the bell will ring again and if I heard voices. Within one minute of thinking the bell rang as well hearing Sam talking to someone. I took the initiative to check the hole to make sure Sam is not in danger.

Within 2 minutes I realize that Sam was okay. I brace myself for who was with Sam. I mean I have never gotten anyone other than Samantha in my home before. And now that someone is here I need to be more alert.

Taking a deep breath I finally open the door. I was met with Sam's biggest smile, dress in a sunflower dress and matching slippers, with her hair flowing down her back. Next to her was this familiar little boy; with dark hair, and blue eyes, dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans. I realize at that moment that the familiarity was that he is Sam's Co-worker. We met one time before, but I never talk to the boy. Something about him smells trouble, and I am more cautious now than ever about these things. Don't remind me, I don't trust anyone and I know I have to be cautious with everyone.

Remembering that I was still holding my gun behind me, I ensured that none of them saw it. I step out of the way allowing them both to pass by me, Both of them were holding two boxes of pizza and Chinese food.

Knowing that Sam invite someone over to my house without informing me did not sit well with me, and I am annoyed by it. She knows how I feel about people in my personal space. I do hope she has a very good excuse for this. As tightly as I could, I held my gun close to me and close the door.

                           *********************************************************************

Sam and Nick were busy talking as they make their way toward the kitchen. I took that as my chance as quickly as I could I placed my gun under the sofa. with my sensitive hearing, I heard Sam telling Nick about her family. and the vacation they will be going on for the new year.

I was not one of those people that had the privileged to have friends or family that care for or love me or even have the idea of it. I never liked my life; why? Well for one, You never know what's gonna happen to you when you're out there killing. I mean you could never come back after a mission. I have lost so many great assassins that were sent on missions with me. some who take a bullet for me or some who decide to kill themselves instead of going back to the base. That was my life and I am not proud to call myself a killer or a monster or even a she-devil.

'Dest...Dest!'

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Sam's voice calling me.

'Yes, Sam, Sorry about that.'

I look at both Sam and Nick Looking at me.

'Are you okay?' Sam asked.

'Yes, Sam I am fine'. Was just thinking when are we gonna eat these pizzas, 'cause I know you won't stop talking till they are cold.'

'Oh Dest, I am sorry about that, We all know I have a big mouth right? Let's eat'.

Opening the pizza boxes I realized that we are having cheese and BBQ chicken with pineapple toppings. The aroma was amazing leaving my taste bud on fire. The taste alone makes me wanna eat all this without shearing. I know I don't buy it so what, it's good to be a savage.
