Chapter Twelve

  Destiney Pov

In the middle of the field or so I thought, there is a fountain where water flows from two giant swans. 

The water glistens as the sunshine, provides a beautiful feeling of warmth. 

In the distance, a voice was heard. 

Beth, Beth, Where are you? 

The most beautiful sound of giggles I have ever heard was coming from behind the fountain.

I can hear you, the voice said.

A melody of poor giggles could be heard from behind the fountain as the voice became closer.

I will find you. The voice said.

no, you won't. A small voice response 

Got you, the voice of a man said. 

The voice behind the fountain belongs to the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, as the man whose face is not visible to be seen, spins her around she giggles with her hair blowing in the wind. 

'How did you find me?' kee

 The girl I came to know as Beth said.

'I will always find you'. The man said. 

'Promise', the girl asks.

Promise the man's response.

I was bolt-awake with sweat running down my face, my body shaking as if I was electrocuted. 

What just happened...

I have never had a happy thought before. 

Who are those people, do I know them? Why is this happening to me?

 That little girl, she looks familiar, and that man who is he? I have never seen him before, but his voice provides some sort of safety. 

I  don't understand this, I have never experienced anything like this before. Am I going crazy? 

I held my head as I felt a click.

Test #1 malfunctioning.

What!, Who said that? 

I jumped out of bed and reached for my gun, as I heard that voice speak. I looked everywhere, but no one was in my room.

Test #1, you are malfunctioning, you did not have a dream or a happy memory, and you do not know those people.

Now I must be crazy, I am hearing this voice in my head, what test or dream or malfunctioning, what is going on here? 

The more I think the more my body shakes and sweat pours through my pours like a river.

Test #1, reprogramming now.

I felt my body went still...

Beeeeeppppppp

I bolt awake hearing my alarm going off on my phone.

I reach out and turn off this annoying device I hate so much. Blinking to adjust to the brightness coming from the screen on my phone, I realized it was 3: 25 a.m in the morning.  

I hate mornings.

I Got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom to wash my face. 

Surprised Is an understatement when I looked into the mirror;  I had bags under my eyes and my clothes stuck to my body.

What happened to me last night? I don't remember anything. Did I go for a run or Did I exercise and didn't remember to bathe? 

Thats gross. I shake off that thought. Maybe I need to take a shower. 

I turn on the shower and step in. 

The coldness of the water smoothie and the discomfort me waking up this early. I know I did set the alarm for 3 a.m., but the idea of being up in the morning when all my life  I was always a night assassin. 

My life as an assassin or should I say a monster. No nothing but pour blood. I would kill without mercy even drink my victim's blood.  Am I a vampire, Maybe I am. I am a monster that only comes out at night. and sleep during the day, or should I say string on machines during the day. 

Each time I came back from a job well done, they would bring me to this room, with nothing but tubes and more tubes of dark liquid. They would string me up on these machines for days or weeks. 

Sometimes I would go days without sleep but still don't feel tired. My life as a monster. 

I know the Black Shadow Mafia will or should I say be looking for me. I am the best in everything. The best sniper, the best killer, the best assassin, the best hacker the best.  But one thing I know, I will be ready for them. They have created a monster and this monster has to be prepared for this war.

stepping out of the bathtub with only one thought in mind. I need to make a call...
