𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐅𝐓 𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐄 of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams played as Joni and Makayl stood in the blonde's ensuite bathroom getting ready for the annual summer party at the country club. The blonde stood on one side of the vanity applying her makeup, while the brunette stood on the other.

"Are Rebecca and Bobby coming?" Makayl asked as she applied her eyeshadow

Joni applied her blush, then replied, "No. Mom's going up to see uncle Tommy, while daddy has to work." she said as she placed her blush back in her makeup bag, then reached for her mascara.

"Oh, I never had the chance to ask you how the dinner went the other night." Makayl said as she applied her mascara. "You were going to tell me about it, but never had the chance, so how did it go?"

"It went good, but daddy asked me if I had given any thought about moving back to Encino. I told him that I love Laurel Canyon. He said he would feel better if I was closer to him and mom." Joni said

"Your dad is just protective of you." Makayl said as she used Joni's hairspray and applied some to her hair. "Would you believe my dad has been asking me to move back to Beverly Hills and out of my North Hollywood apartment?" she asked as she rolled her eyes at the thought

Joni chuckled as she zipped up her makeup bag, and touched up her hairspray. "But you love North Hollywood and you love your independence."

"Which is why I don't want a significant other." Makayl said as she walked into the bedroom to change into her dress. "I'm happy just playing the field for now."

Joni chuckled as she walked to her closet to choose her dress. For the beach club, she chose a petal pink mini dress with smocking and ruffle cuffs. It's a beautiful dress which once belonged to her grandmother Lisa, and it's just so Joni.

She opted not to wear a necklace, as the dress speaks for itself. On her ears, are a pair of diamond teardrop earrings. She loves these because they're more dangly and not as ostentatious, as other teardrop earrings, and they were a gift from Adaline. A simple pair of laser-cut white Manolo flats graced her feet.

Makayl wore a beautiful mint dress, which was sleeveless, knee length and it had a small gold belt around the waist. She wore gold sandals to accentuate her outfit.

"You look great." Makayl smiled

"Thank you." Joni smiled as she grabbed her purse and keys. "So do you."

After the two walked out of Joni's home, and got into her mustang, she drove to the country club, while Makayl sat in the passenger seat. When they arrived at the country club, Joni parked her mustang, turned off the ignition and checked her makeup, the two best friends got out of the mustang and walked up to the entrance.
