"𝐇𝐎𝐖 was New York?"Joni asked as Makayl got in the passenger seat. "I got you a drink from Starbucks."
"You're an Angel! I've missed the California smog." Makayl said as she fastened her seatbelt and Joni started the car and drove out of the terminal. "You are going in my place next time."
"Nope. I prefer the good ol' San Fernando Valley." Joni said as she adjusted her sunglasses on her face, and Makayl sipped her Starbucks drink. "So have you heard any reviews?"
"None yet." Makayl said as she ran her hand through her brunette hair. "I don't want to think about it."
"Are you kidding me? Your collection is beautiful, I know you absolutely killed it." Joni smiled
"Thanks, but still, I'm so afraid to read those reviews." Makayl said as Joni got on the freeway and drove towards North Hollywood
"Well, for now, you don't need to think about it. Just take this time to unwind, and maybe even have a few cocktails." Joni said
"As long as you'll join me?" Makayl suggested
"I would but I'm helping uncle Daniel and uncle Johnny look for Robby." Joni said
"Oh yeah, how's Miguel?" Makayl asked. "I know he woke up when I was in New York."
"Well, I spoke with Carmen, and he still can't feel anything below his waist. Apparently there's a surgeon thats supposed to be the best of the best flying in from Denver." Joni said as she pulled into Makayl's apartment complex. "Alright, here you are. I'll call you later. Get some rest."
"Okay, be careful and call me later." Makayl said as she got out of Joni's car
"I will. Love you hon." Joni smiled
"Love you too!" Makayl smiled as she closed passenger door

"How's Miguel doing?" Bobby asked as Rebecca set a cup of coffee down for him, and one for herself and joined him at the table for breakfast.
"Joni said he's doing better, but he still can't feel anything below the waist." Rebecca said as she sprinkled pepper on her eggs. "That's common with spine injuries. If you ask me, the fight should have never happened to begin with. I spoke with Amanda last night and aparently Daniel stopped by the dojo looking for Johnny, and Cobra Kai is going through some renovations."
"Renovations?" Bobby questioned. "What kind of renovations?"
Rebecca shrugged her shoulders as she swallowed a piece of food she was chewing. "I'm not sure, Amanda didn't say, but Daniel did say there was a cardboard cut out of Kreese in the dojo."
