So we can confirm that the killer is a Mate 2.0 player too. And he might have known that someone was on to him, and thus cancelled his old number.
"What could the abilities of the killer might be? I'm sure he's a Mate 2.0 player." I revealed and they both looked confused as they waited for me to explain it.

"Oh? What information do you have then?" Taehyun asked in a mocking tone. Ah shit, not again. I'm so done with those two bickering like kids.

"About that.. come here. I'll tell you a secret." Why is this guy smirking? Uhh? I went closer a little towards his side for him to whisper something in my ear.
"I'll tell you if you help me confess to Dasom." He still had that evil smirk on his face.. so I wasn't wrong when I guessed he liked Dasom?
"Sure, I'll record what you just said and harass your homeroom teacher with your voice." I threatened, which made him back away. You ain't winning when your opponent is the great Kang Taehyun.
"This guy is scary!" He commented with his both hands up as a sign of surrender.

"Mate 2.0 cannot be copied from one phone to another. And one of the requirements to use the ability is your original number or phone. Which means the killer chose to delete their number to evade tracking and preserve his abilities. And these two have another requirement. They must be the ones you're currently using." Beomgyu explained to us both after I told him about the killer being a Mate 2.0 player.
"Which means if you move your original sim card to another phone and use a new card in your original phone, the abilities in one of the phones will be locked?" I asked in confusion.
"Bingo! You understood it!" Beomgyu responded by giving me a high five.
"I still don't understand-" Taehyun muttered under his breath but it was clear enough for us to listen.
"You're dumb." Beomgyu scoffed at his statement.
"And you're even dumber." Taehyun argued back in his defence.
