I heard some footsteps coming towards my bed.
"AHH.... KAI!!!"
"You're awake?" I'm saved. It wasn't Kai but that rude inspector.
"It's you..." I took a deep breath before looking at my injured hand.
"Your face doesn't look any better than your friend's though." He commented and passed me a cup of coffee.
I thanked him before asking a question "That.... Kai..... Is he.... Dead?"
"He's still alive but badly injured. The dog bit seven of his fingers. He probably cannot touch a phone for some months. We also confiscated his phone and kept it under tight security." He answered while walking back and forth in the room.
"Though he did murder someone, he's not the one who we've been searching for. But we made another big discovery too. The attack on you might have something to do with the creator of this game." He revealed after thinking a bit.

[Kai Pov]
He claims to be the creator of “Mate 2.0”... he's the one who gave me this ability... he asked me to meet him here..
"Is the game fun?" The guy was wearing all black clothes. I couldn't see his face clearly but I guess he's the game's creator who called me here.
"You're not here just for a user satisfaction survey, are you?" I asked him back.
"Smart, as expected from the person I chose. To be honest, I'm here to take back the ability." He added while crossing his arms.
"Take it back? Like I'll just let you. It's the ability of my dreams. I'm the only one worthy of it. I'm on the list of the top 10 players, so why-" I was interrupted by him, who gave me a glare and laughed before speaking further. "I can take it back just as easily as I'm able to give it to you. So I'm the one who makes the rules here, don't you be mistaken. I can let you keep it however."
"How much money do you want?"
"I don't need money, but I have something that I need you to do for me... the person is called Min Dasom, a soon to be player of Mate 2.0 just like you. I'll let you keep the ability if you kill her." He chuckled as he saw my shocked face.
I don't get it. Why does he want her dead?
"Remember, this is a game. Only the victors are worthy of keeping their abilities. The losers should be destroyed like a bug." He spoke and drove away from the dark street.

I made an excuse and we shifted to Seoul. I transferred to the same school as her to make my plan work out. Although I planned to kill her, I soon changed my mind but it didn't long well.
The mysterious creator of the game threatened to kill Bahiyyih and when he really did hurt her... I couldn't stop even if I wanted to. I had to do it to save Bahiyyih, it wasn't right to do so...

Damn it! That creator is treating human lives like it's a game.
But again, why is this inspector giving me so much information? That isn't his style.
