"Ridiculous! Lee Wenting wouldn't kill anybody." I refused to believe their conclusions.
No matter from the strength or the killing technique, it doesn't look like the murderer killed for the first time. Every cut is fatal. The cut on Wenting's body was also affected by someone. There are so many unreasonable things.
But Mr. Choi has investigated crimes for many years, it's not easy to kill a policeman either. We found deadly poison in the teacup and in his stomach, only an acquaintance could have left him unguarded...

I walked out of the police station while still in disbelief, not believing the two most precious people to me... died. To be precise... were murdered.

[Dasom Pov]
"Where are we going?" I asked the Inspector Kwon as I got in his car.
"To meet up with your friends." He answered earning a confused look from me.
"If what happened to my best friend happened to your daughter, what will you do?" I questioned out of the blue.
"I'll kill him!" He answered in a firm tone while tightening his grip on the steering wheel.
"Are you still a cop?" I looked at him shocked because of his unexpected reply.
"Are cops not human?" He asked while still focusing on driving.
"Why do I need to give you those pretty words? Those are the things you save for the press and your superiors. I'll find him, and kill him..." His voice was filled with anger and hatred.
Soon he stopped at the destination but weren't we stopping at the police station? Why did we stop at the hotel. He opened the door and the people I saw were totally unexpected.
Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun... and even Kai too...
Wasn't Kai arrested for murder...?
"You six kids... you're the Mate 2.0 Team for investigation. Each one of you, take a chair and ask if you have any doubts." The inspector closed the door and looked at the six of us.
We were too surprised to even say something...
"Why is a murderer between us?" Soobin asked while pointing at Huening Kai.
Kai had his head down in shame or something because he was aware of the fact about what he had done.
"Don't call him a murderer-" Inspector was interrupted by Beomgyu who muttered ‘Because he's a murderer.’
"Are you going to listen to me? I used my Mate 2.0 ‘Search’ on Kai and found that- he never got ability called Vibration. Even he doesn't know that his ability was fake. The creator of the game used Kai." He explained but it was just so confusing. We looked at Kai and he was shocked too, it seemed as if he also heard this for the first time.
“Let me make this clear. I used my ‘Search’ and found out that- when Kai went to kill that unknown man by his power, he had no power at all. The creator was hiding somewhere and he was the one who blew the unknown man. The creator was also the one who tried to kill you by using Kai." He explained as he waited for some more questions.
"I'm going to leave now, if you guys have no question. Use this room as your secret base and start your investigation. I'm not sure if the normal policeman would be able to do it. I hope you guys don't disappoint me. Use your brains and don't bicker among yourselves. You guys are a single team and you need teamwork." He advised before finally leaving the six of us behind in the hotel room.
"If you had the ability... would you still have killed Dasom?" Yeonjun questioned Kai who was the most silent one here.
"Obviously not... even though I was told to kill her, why would I? Don't you guys trust me. Dasom, won't you forgive me?" He averted his gaze towards me while a spark of hope was visible in his eyes.
"I forgive you but I'm sorry that I can't trust you."
"It's understandable..."
"Guys, let's try to investigate by using our abilities to the fullest. Let's forget all those bad things that happened in the past." Soobin suggested as all six of us sat in a circle and opened our Mate 2.0 to investigate further.
"I want us to make a promise. Let's not harm each other ever again and also we shouldn't hide things from each other from now on... ok?" Taehyun instructed, earning nods from each one of us.
We all started thinking of a master plan that would help us in leading towards the killer.
It's not just a single search... It's teamwork, now...
